"Friendly staff at check-in/out. The place is very basic and was last updated probably ages ago. It is more hostel than hotel, with residents using self-catering kitchen etc, hence the bargain price. Showers and WCs a couple of strides down the corridor. Both them and the room were kept very clean. Double bedroom a more generous size than expected. Mattress is basic with wobbly springs but hey...linen was clean and fresh. "

"Excellent reception - not many welcome you with a glass of fizz anymore- but they did here! You also don’t hear the words “everything in your room (drinks/snacks) are complimentary” very often. Very comfortable, well equipped and modern hotel. Would definitely recommend. "

"The hotel was nice, clean, well decorated. Staff was really really nice and allowed us to drop bags off early. When we returned, they had already taken our backpacks to our room, which was nice because we were completely exhausted and the room was on the third floor (no elevator). Had we brought all our luggage, it would have taken us forever to get large suitcases up those stairs one at a time. Our room was lovely, but pretty small…kinda seemed like an attic. The bathroom was a good size, but...

"The city hotel is Clean, convenient and comfortable. We have stayed here a few times and is good value for money. Love the two older ladies who clean. The breakfast is good and it’s right in the centre. "

"Hotel & staff were excellent. The food was fancy but small servings and expensive. The restaurant across the road at the pub was much better value. I think they would do better toning it down a notch and the price down and they would attract many more return guests."
