"Maria and Brian Chamberlain were very friendly and welcoming. As it is a working farm, Brian was busy when we first arrived, late in the afternoon. Maria came out to greet us, as their were two houses just off the driveway and my wife and I didn't know which one to enter so to register. She quickly showed us to our room and introduced us to four other guests staying for an artist show. The Chamberlains had horses, donkeys, chickens, cats and a very friendly dog. Unfortunately, we were only booked for one night stay. Maria graciously showed my wife her rhubarb garden and even gave her some cuttings to take with her (fortunately, they survived the plane ride back home to California)! Brian gave me a nice tour of his farm and the personalities of the animals, an indication of his chores and some information about the surrounding neighborhood and area characteristics. I almost forgot to indicate that upon our arrival, Maria gave us a $15.00 gift certificate for what I believe she described as, "some of the best Mexican food in Northern New Hampshire". The very nice guests added to the experience! "

"Beautiful house just as pictured, easy check in with great communication with the owner. Centrally located right on the ATV trails. May want to bring extra towels and washcloths as there was no wash clothes and only 1 towel per person for our 3 night stay. But that didn’t stop us from enjoying this beautiful house and property, will definitely stay again! "

"The place had beautiful views and easy access to the waterfront. The owner was kind in letting us use their kayaks and canoe without question or hesitation. We all loved the layout of the place, as it was spacious enough to accommodate 6 people but still kept that cozy vibe. If you're planning on staying ANYWHERE in Stark NH, THIS is your best choice. "

"Pleasant place close to great places to enjoy nature"

"The house was in a great location for exploring the trails both North and South of Colebrook. We sat around the fire pit at night and watched a movie on Netflix one night. We took our kayaks (by car) up the road to Lake Francis and had a nice evening paddle before dinner too. The beds at the house were great and there were plenty of blankets and towels to go around! The house was very clean and up to date. The only item we brought (that I would suggest) is our chairs for around the fire and s’mores roasting sticks. I’ll definitely be back!! "

"Our family absolutely enjoyed our week long stay at this beautiful, cozy cabin while exploring Northern NH and VT. The cabin is very clean and well stocked with all of the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. The mountain views are gorgeous and the location is very peaceful, but only a short drive into town and local attractions. The host is very helpful and communication was excellent. We highly recommend this cabin and will happily stay again if in Northern NH."
