In the sleepy town of Cloditz, this castle was formerly the WWII prisoner of war camp. Now contains a youth hostel and a museum (guided tours of the castle are available), Roughly half way between Dresden and Leipzig.

"Wir waren 3 Nächte im Hotel zur Post und waren rundum zufrieden. Freundliche Begrüßung, unkompliziertes Einchecken! Personal durchweg sehr freundlich. Unser Zimmer war groß und hell (wir hatten ein Eckzimmer mit zwei Fenstern). Zimmer und Bad (ebenfalls mit Fenster => hell, gut durchlüftet!) waren sauber und gepflegt. "Tijdens ons verblijf van 1 nacht hebben wij geen personeel gezien. We hadden een beetje het gevoel van een spookhotel. Kamer was gedateerd maar schoon en de rest van het hotel was leeg. Zeer bijzondere ervaring."

"We were visiting from the US and visiting Colditz Castle. This stop was wonderful with clean, quiet, comfortable accommodations. The water park is a big hit with the locals and visitors alike. Some of the best food we had on our trip. I'd definitely choose to stay again."

"I really enjoyed the stay, all was brand new, clean and fully equipped. It‘s located in the very citycenter but still quiet, there is a Supermarket with a bakery right around the corner and quite a lot of Restaurants. I would have rated 5 Stars, but when we arrived ( 2 adults, one child of 3 years) the sofabed wasn‘t prepared. After inquirey I was told they never do for children under 5. I should have asked for it, as this is their policy. I found that very strange, I couldn‘t find a Word about...

"Eine der tollsten Ferienwohnungen in denen wir bisher gewohnt haben. Sehr sauber, stilvoll eingerichtet, ruhig, großer Garten, frische Blumen auf dem Tisch und Begrüßungsgetränk im Kühlschrank. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben. Vielen Dank!"

"The property was very clean and service was very friendly. Only concern was that the area is little out of town and there were drawings on the wall everywhere surrounding. We arrived at the hotel little late on the evening and felt unsafe until we get into the property. I do not recommend to go outside walking in the evening."
