"Beautiful setting and great location for visiting sites in Tuscany. As we expected the road up was a little tricky. Coffee maker in smaller apartment did not work but we managed with the other one in the larger apt. WE had a great time and would reccommend it as a great place for family and friends"

"The house is in a stunning location. The views are amazing, and you are well placed for trips out to Florence, Pisa, north into the mountains. The house is rustic, full of character, love, charm and quirks. It offers an authentic Tuscan lifestyle. The rooms are huge with terracotta floors (a bit uneven) and huge beams in the ceiling. "The instructions for arrival were detailed and helpfully so. It didn’t detract from the excitement of the drive though. You need a car big enough to tackle the terrain and small enough to fit the track! The house was spotless and very well equipped. There was a thoughtful welcome basket including wine and pasta. "This is a very nice property up on a Tuscan hill with plenty of sunlight and great views. It is sparkling clean, the kitchen is well appointed and the space is very comfortable. "Overall 4.5/5 but it doesn't allow for half points. The wonderful old farmhouse with its stone steps and brick floors overlooking the nearby hills, from the scent of honeysuckle each time you pass through the door, to the cool rustic kitchen at the rear of the house. "Well situated home on beautiful property perfect for day trips to surrounding beach, wineries, small hilltop tuscan villages plus the big ones Lucca Pisa Florence . Helpful host with great recommendations for activities and restaurants. Welcome gifts of local wine, homemade jam, and fresh eggs from the chickens. Down side? No air- conditioning for those hot tuscan days as are most homes but manageable with fans and shaded property."

"Rustica Dora is lovely house, as described. The garden is a great spot to relax or BBQ and is full of fresh herbs and roses. It’s a very short walk into the village, where there 2 restaurants and 2 bar/cafes. Everyone is super friendly and it’s a great base the explore Tuscany from. A car is a must. Alessio, the host, was very helpful and always available- many thanks, we had a great stay and highly recommend."

"Very nice. Of all the 3 other places we stayed in Tuscany on prior vacations this was the best. Very comfortable and spacious one level apartment with a huge bathroom with shower and tub. Lovely views. Easy to park outside the flat. Very close to downtown Montecatini (but still in the countryside). Tizziana and Tessa were extremely helpful and sweet and answered all our questions. If you want the real Tuscan feel with a home away from home this is it."
