They made us feel very comfortable and were always there whenever we needed anything. Everything was wonderful, and I would definitely recommend this place to others. "I wanted to love Hodges Bay but we had an overall ok stay. Our transportation from the airport was mishandled but was fixed at the end and our return shuttle to the airport was taken care of. The resort was fairly empty as we often had the pool to ourselves and got familiar with other guests quickly. We decided to try the Asian specialty restaurant the 1st night and it took over an hour and 15 min to get our meals. They were only 4 other tables at the restaurant during that time, so I’m not sure why. We had to flag down our waitress several times for an update and they were no apologies or anything. Many staff were nice but others wouldn’t even greet you or say “good morning” back when you say it first. Simple courtesy and manners were not returned. The food at White Sands was good. At breakfast they served the same thing, a typical Caribbean breakfast but not much complaints there. We enjoyed the chicken roti and burger from the bar area the most. Food did add up and ended up being quite costly. There’s no entertainment or even live music so if you’re looking for that, this is not the place. We were upgraded to a suite with a butler on arrival which was a nice touch with beautiful views of the ocean. The cleaning was subpar in the bathroom. I did thoroughly enjoy my time at the spa. I traveled with my toddler and husband and there’s not much things for children to do. Although I did have a relaxed time, we would not be returning."

Escape to the sun in a Tropical Getaway!

"This is a nice 2 bedroom 2 bath home with a well stocked kitchen and W/D. Comfortable stay for 4 adults. You would need a car or have to call a cab to get around. The nearest grocery store is a 20 min walk. There is a nice cafe Sips & Tips that has a great breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, an ice cream place, Asian Voyage (high end Asian restaurant) and the beautiful Dickinson Bay Beach all within 15 min drive. Getting there is a bit confusing and took us over an hour to find the house since we reached at night and it was completely dark. Host had sent videos explaining how to get there but our taxi driver could not understand his directions. We had to wait about 30 min for the host to drive over and drive us to the house. Basically once you turn R into Blue Waters Dr from Cedar Grove Main Rd(coming from airport) you’ll drive uphill about 500’ passing a white fence and then reach a white and green fence on the left side of the road. At this corner, there is an unnamed road on the right that goes downhill which you need to take and the 1st house on the left with an iron fence is the house. I have included pics. The driveway down to the house is steep, about a 40degree incline from the ground. Going up with a sedan which is what we rented was a bit scary. Prob renting an all wheel drive would be the best option. We ended up parking at the street level but the road is a dirt road and very uneven so was also a bit scary."

As a reality tv star from Joseline cabaret Texas I felt completely safe the house was gated the parking space was very spacious and the home felt like a home more importantly thank you for always servicing me so well"

"Check in was excellent, the property owner contacted us the day before and sent detailed instructions with a Google pin, the wife and I had rented a car and had no problems getting to the property.If you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay that you do not feel pressured I highly recommend this property. We enjoyed the tranquility the property offered.The property is very well maintained and extremely clean.We were located within 10 minutes of several beautiful beaches, “Runaway Beach” we enjoyed and visited almost daily. This is the same beach shared with a couple of very pricy resorts. There is no cover charge to use the beach. Jolly Beach about 20-25 minutes away offers umbrellas and lounge chairs also bar/food for moderate cost, along with souvenirs.St John’s was a 20 minute drive to the Quay which offered souvenirs and local shops. Car rental is a must, due to the roads in Antigua particularly the numerous speed bumps an SUV with high clearance is strongly recommended. The people of Antigua are by far the most friendly and welcoming of all the places we have visited."
