"The restored hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are a little small but the bathroom is huge! The mattress was too soft for us, therefore made for a less than great night sleep. However, it was super quiet. The restaurant was fabulous! We went to the speak easy bar and had a fabulous time and nice drinks. Highly recommend"

"This lovely home would be the perfect gathering place for 2 couples and perhaps their dogs (there is a large doggie door to the backyard, though closed off when not in use)! While it was just my husband and myself, we were impressed with the cleanliness and comfort. Decor was simple and classic, kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, pots and pans (we chose to eat out anyway). The two beds are identical memory foam mattresses--my only suggestion to the hosts would be to perhaps consider offering two different types of mattresses, so there is an option. (We personally find memory foam a bit too heat-retaining.) There is a very large, graveled backyard with a privacy fence, hammock and horseshoe game. There is a covered back patio that we chose to enjoy during a rain--lovely sound on its roof! Our host was very communicative and quick to check in and also respond to messages, offering his(?her? ...messages seemed to be from both Keith and Victoria) take on local cuisine, which was spot-on! (From our brief interactions, they seemed to be someone we'd enjoy having dinner with!:) )Overall, we were happy and comfortable, and we really enjoyed Canon City's shops and dining. We would stay here again, and highly recommend!"
