"We had a wonderful stay at this lake front property. The house accommodated 3 generations of our family. The basement was perfect for the teenagers and kids. They enjoyed the ping pong and air hockey tables. We brought our boat and enjoyed so much time on the water, as well as floating, swimming and fishing from the dock. The communication from the owner was excellent and we highly recommend this vacation rental. "

"The house is amazing and the location is perfect. While there, we enjoyed seeing all types of wildlife, from deer, eagles, groundhogs, waterfowl etc.. during our stay .The owners Jim and Mona are great host. Our conversations with Jim were truly one of the highlights of our stay. Our adventure at the cabin were truly what we needed for a restful vacation. By the end of our time at the cabin, I would sum up our vacation with the last verses of Robert Frost's poem The Road Not Taken "I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.I would highly recommend the cabin on Kerr Lake.Thank you Jim and Mona for creating such a special place for our peaceful retreat from all the noise of the outside world. "We stayed at Cottage on the Cove the first week of July, 2025. The property was lovely. All the bedrooms were cozy with comfortable beds and plenty of room. Everyone had a blast witht he pingpong table, games and swimming. We had a few very hot days, however Tunnel Creek Winery was 13 minutes away, as well as antique shops, and restaurants. Carols Collectibles in Roxboro is a must visit. Walking through her maze of old artifacts many from well known historical figures is mind boggling. if she is not busy she might show you the old movie theatre upstairs. It opened in 1929. Fishing and swimming was pretty good from the dock and from a kayak/paddle board. There is an urgent care within 15 minutes from the house as well as grocery, bait, fast food including mexican, and wineries."
