The Ashley Inn & Suites

"The property was overall nice. Im not sure that I would stay again though. We had 2 children under 2 years old as well. The beds were overly soft that when you laid down, you would sink to the bottom of the earth (not in a good way). Also the height of the beds, you have to take a running jump to get on them. Having children, I was worried about them rolling off the bed onto the hard tile floor all night and/or suffocating on the soft mattress. The rooms were overall clean, but had a dirty ice bucket, the floors were dirty, the bathtub had to be cleaned out because of leftover hair before we used it. I can overlook those things due to no rooms left in the city though. The pool area is big and inside (even though the water is cold lol). The hottub was a no go due to the nasty hottub dirty foam all over the top of the water. There are nice floating and life jackets for children to use though. The check in process: on the website says they will take cash for a deposit, that is not the case. Thankfully our replacement cards came in the day before we left for vacation. Don't get there right at 4pm , the line will be so long, just give it some time. On a positive note, breakfast was really nice.the staff were very friendly, and the hotel is in a convenient location."

"This is a great retreat just around the corner from Pacific City. Fisherman and kayakers will be in heaven. Ownership is present and clearly cares about your stay, and they are a great source of information about local attractions."

"We’ve come here for our anniversary most years for the last 8 years. It is becoming more dated and starting to feel that you pay for too much more than you are getting. The rooms and property are clean, but noise transmission from neighboring rooms is very high (which interferes with good sleep and with privacy), the rooms are basic and standard, and they no longer have the nicer onsite restaurant. At about a 25% lower price point I think it would be a fair deal but I am starting to look elsewhere for future trips"
