"Booked to spend time with our 2 Daughters, their partners and our Grandson. Very pleasantly surprised by this well stocked property. A real home from home and a very comfortable stay for 6 adults and a baby. The small touches were much appreciated, and the large enclosed garden was great for our Daughters 2 dogs and enjoyed by ourselves for some garden games. "Me and my 5 friends had a lovely time away. There were stunning views and the house was large and comfortable. Fun board games and a lovely hot tub. We all agreed that the main thing that let it down for us was cleanliness. We had to hoover and clean when we got there - there was a lot of dog hair (we didn't bring a dog). One of the bathrooms was particularly dirty - black mold and black grime in the shower, plug full of hair so wouldn't drain properly. The grass in the garden hadn't been...

"Nice enough place to stay, location is great and a good base for exploring the Scottish Borders.However, the property is missing quite a few of the kitchen basics; there wasn't enough crockery for our family of 5.Great hob and oven and all appliances work well, however, whole place shakes when washing machine is on, so timing is key!Electric shower was really not great, but the corner bath is lovely.Most importantly; there aren't 1.5 bathrooms... there is one. One toilet, one bath, one shower......

"The hotel has a large car park. The rooms were clean and warm. The hotel was taylored more for eating. The meals were excellent and the bar closed early after meals were finished. There were no casual bar customers. Pleanty of bars close by. The area was very safe and comfortable to walk around at any time..Nice friendly staff."
