"We had an unforgettable stay at Kilkea Castle! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning grounds and historic charm of the property. We stayed in Carriage Room 230, which was beautiful and had great viewst thanks to windows on all sides. Dinner at Hermione's was a real highlight — not only was the food excellent, but the view of the illuminated castle in the evening was absolutely magical. After dinner, we headed to The Keep bar for drinks, where Andrew, the bartender, made the experience extra special. He was friendly, personable, and made us feel right at home. Later, we took a peaceful walk through the rose garden and along the river to the pond — a perfect end to the evening. Breakfast the next morning was inside the castle and just as delightful. What really stood out was the staff. My husband had accidentally left his wallet at the bar, and everyone — from the front desk to our servers — made sure we got it back. Their kindness and attentiveness made us feel so well cared for. Highly recommend staying here for the beautiful setting, great food, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Absolutely stunning- book any activities prior- and check to see what you are receiving we thought we were in the castle but our room was in small lodges a short walk away- we took a cab from Carlow- beautiful grounds and castle"

"Great hotel, staff were very attentive and friendly, bed was super comfy and room was spotless. The lessors facilities are great and the hotel is a short walk to a shopping centre and many bars and restaurants. Beer garden and access to the duck pond are beautiful. Overall had a fantastic stay"

"Quick and easy check-in. Staff were very attentive and helpful. We were given an upgraded room along with a beautiful fruit and chocolate brownie plater because it was a birthday get away - so very much appreciated 😊 Room was beautiful, spacious, clean with a beautiful view of the golf course and Vale of Avoca. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice and had a wide window of timings, so if you fancied a longer lay in, it wasnt a problem. We had dinner in the Bistro restaurant both nights and couldn't fault it. There was entertainment both evenings. Will definately visit again"
