"If you're looking for over the top luxury this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for what the chain is meant to be this is the place. Great location, view, and everything you need for a cabin vacation on the lake. I have been coming to the chain my entire life and this house has the exact same feel as my family's old house(still on McCrossen). I would highly recommend staying here if your idea of a chain/lake vacation is 90% outdoors with easy access to the water. "

There were 8 of us ladies & having a large kitchen was fantastic. A couple suggestions: add a teapot for boiling water, we don’t recommend using the filtered water from the dispenser in the fridge it comes out as a slow trickle (unless it is fixed to have a higher flow rate). "The 'Cottage by the Beach' was perfect. The house is updated, clean and everything that you need is available. The location is perfect, across from a campground, clean beach and you are able to walk near the lake. This was my first time to Shawano, I will defiantly be back. ] "

"We’ve never been to such a quiet lake and I think I said that every day! The row boat and paddle boat were the best things and the most fun for the kids! They both love to fish. We were hoping the lake might have had less weeds and a bigger swimming area with a floating swim pad! "

"This is a charming little house tucked between beautiful victorians just a few blocks from downtown Waupaca. The grounds are beautifully kept, there is a place to sit outside, there is a restaurant on site in one of the big houses. The little cottage is an older house but clean and well kept, very big open main room and lots of room in the BR with twin beds. Kitchen is on the small side. Magical atmosphere on the property and walking distance from Waupaca Main St shopping or beautiful parks...

"The cabin was perfect for our family. Our 10-year-old and 7-year-old loved sleeping in the loft. Everything was clean, organized, and ready for us. Lots to do including indoor and outdoor activities. We were a little disappointed with the lake water. It was shallow and mucky, but maybe it is better other years. I would say it is more of a fishing/boating lake than a nice swimming lake."

"This Lake house was perfect for our cousin’s weekend. So cozy, and we all had the space to spread out. The view looking out is beautiful with a morning cup of coffee. It has a full kitchen and was able to make a full meal, and close to a country bar where we did a fish fry on Friday, yummy! We can’t wait to book next year!"
