  • 1 1/2 blocks from the water! Beautiful 4BR/2.5 BA beach area home (sleeps 9), close to marina and town beach. Property includes in-ground pool and 1BR/1BA guest house (sleeps 4). A spacious colonial-style main house, carriage house and potting shed share a bright sunny half-acre. Fully fenced in backyard makes it an ideal setting for families.

    Backyard firepit, new plantings, beachstone, window boxes, and an outdoor shower add to the property's appeal. The main house boasts an ideal open kitchen / family room, adjoining formal dining room, front sitting room with working gas fireplace, downstairs powder room and tranquil sunroom Family room offers direct access to back porch and the pool area.

    Main House: 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths are located upstairs. Stairs lead up past a stained-glass window to a large master bedroom and 3 guest bedrooms, a full guest bath and convenient washer and dryer. Airy master (king) bedroom offers a vaulted ceiling, full bathroom, double closets and sitting area with glass doors to small balcony overlooking the manicured backyard and pool. Two queen bedrooms and double twin bedroom w/ trundle bed. The semi-finished basement contains a game room and additional family room w/sleeper sofa.

    Guest House: The one-bedroom carriage house is perfect for a couple or family of four. Queen bedroom and sleeper sofa. Includes kitchenette, full bathroom, living room and double closets.

    Close proximity to quaint downtown area, 2 min. drive to Town Beach. Lobster Landing a short walk away!

This is our second stay. We came back because we knew how much we like it. The location is great for walking to eat, to town, to the water. We love the 2nd house so grandparents get privacy. The pool and yard are so lovely. The hosts are very kind and easy to communicate with. The house is clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Lovely summer stay!

We had a great time at this house in Clinton. Between the pool, large yard, and close proximity to the beach, it was a perfect place to be with a group of young families! Clean, spacious, and private rooms as well. Would go back again for sure!

House was nicely restored and larger than it looks. The pool was great and the small guest cottage was a nice plus. Great open floor plan downstairs and four good sized bedrooms upstairs, including very nice master suite. Short walk to waterfront with restaurants, though town beach is about a mile away. Basement set up for rec and great for kids.

This was a great place to stay for our family of 14. There was plenty of space, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. The pool was amazing and enjoyed by all. Greg and Erin were easy to communicate with. The only suggestion I have is that our crew could have used a few more towels. Overall it was a fantastic experience! Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful house!

We greatly enjoyed this beautiful home in Clinton. House was perfect, pool and yard were excellent, and communication with the owner was superb. It was our first time renting in this area, and we especially enjoyed Hammonasset State Park - beautiful beach. The only negative was that the street was somewhat busy and the young kids couldn't ride their bikes there. I highly recommend this beautiful property.

Family getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the house. Our favorite part was the beautiful pool. The kids spent 90% of their time in there! The house was neat & clean and accommodated our group of 14. The dining table was perfect for our family. The open floor plan was great & kitchen had all we needed to make a big family dinner. Quick communication - really appreciated that..thank you!

Large and functional home

We were two families and my parents. The cottage was a perfect little addition to let my parents have some privacy. Loved the pool and all the floaties/toys. We ended up just enjoying ourselves at home for much of the trip when we weren’t participating in my cousin’s wedding festivities. Was nice to walk down to the marina restaurants too. Only complaint is that the house is a little older so things like outlets/lights/drains were a challenge at times.Greg was super communicative and helpful.

Girls Weekend in Connecticut!

We had a wonderful stay in Connecticut. It’s a great house with plenty of space for everyone to spread out or hang out together over coffee. The fire pit outside was perfect for the chilly nights! It was a girls reunion trip and everyone kept commenting how clean the house was throughout the weekend. We had a wonderful time and Greg and Erin were so quick to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend this house!

Beautiful Vacation

The house and property were absolutely perfect - plenty of room. My family and I (6 adults and 5 granddaughters) just returned from a wonderful vacation there. It was exactly as listed - clean, pool was great, so many amenities, walk to the dock and close to the beach. The host was awesome. He kept us informed. If we had an issue, he answered immediately. We will surely rent it again!!!

Weekend Away

Your house in Clinton was absolutely perfect for our annual family getaway weekend! Three generations were totally satisfied, and that is no easy feat. The rooms and property were exactly as depicted; the spacious park-like grounds had more than adequate space for outdoor games and activities; the inground pool kept everyone cool and happy; and the many extras from board games, to puzzles, to books prevented anyone from being bored. Oh, and the location just a few blocks from the marina was a definite bonus. We will be back!

We were a 3 generation family traveling together and all agreed we made a great choice with this house. It's clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The pool is amazing. The separate cottage is great if anyone wants their own space. The basement is fun for kids- ping pong, darts, tv. There's a nice sunlit game room. Great to be able to walk to restaurants, kayaking, town. Nice big lawn. So nice that the house is minimal and sparse (no personal clutter in sight at all). We would love to return!

Everything you want & nothing you don’t

This VRBO was absolutely perfect for our large, multigenerational family. We came to town from multiple different states for a funeral; it was such a relief to know we could all stay together. The house had everything we needed & nothing we didn’t. From luxurious towels & sheets to every small detail (like trash bags, dish detergent & tissues), “well appointed” is an absolutely accurate description. The host was very responsive & reasonable. We’d love to rent it again in the summertime & enjoy all of the outdoor amenities!

Family wedding

Our daughter was married in Westbrook and this house was close by and fit all our needs as a family that also had small children. Our only concern was that the inground pool was open to the backyard so obviously children had to have constant attention on them. Other than that, it was a beautiful large backyard and we had a nice fire in the fire pit and a lot of fun playing ping pong and darts downstairs. The open kitchen and family room was wonderful. Would recommend to any large family

Family Vacation

Our multigenerational family stayed at this house and everyone had a great time. The best part of the house- the pool! Very clean and well maintained. The kids and adults swam every day and sometimes multiple times a day (we had a lot of cloudy, dreary days). There were plenty of pool towels and lots of seating around the pool. We also enjoyed the open layout with the kitchen and family room and dining room. Outside grill was in good working order (a little on the smaller side). The home is also very close to Hammonaset beach which we enjoyed on our sunny day. Thanks Greg for hosting us and being so responsive!

Perfect house for a family vacation

My family ( adult children and young grandchildren) enjoyed our stay immensely at this property. The owner was in contact before and during our stay, with immediate responses, and was very helpful answering all questions. He left us a bottle of wine, yard games, and we all made s'mores in the great fire pit in the yard. The backyard is large & open enough to fly kites as well. The property has a beautiful yard and heated pool, the house is clean with nice furniture and fully equipped. The bonus for us was that we, the 'grandparents,' had our own private cottage next to the house. The location is great, 5 min drive to Clinton Beach, good neighborhood for biking, and close to everything. We would definitely rent there again!

Nice house, beautiful pool.

The house and guest house accommodated our 6 adults and 1 teenager easily. It's located in a nice neighborhood and within walking distance of Lobster Landing which my family highly recommends trying. We really enjoyed the use of the well upkept pool. The house had some definite housekeeping issues (stained towels and bedcovers, walls that needed repair or painting, shower curtain liners that need replacing, damaged patio furniture and excessive debris found in the Livingroom) some of which the host addressed very quickly. Also be aware for those with mobility issues, that the top few steps on the way to the second floor bedrooms, do not have access to a railing to hold onto to. With a little more attention to detail, I would give this house a higher rating.

Ideal Family Getaway!

Unique, welcoming home with all the perfect amenities! The house is impeccable, offering lots of room for everyone to spread out and come together for dinner, games, and outdoor recreation. The first-floor setup is ideal for extended families, with an open kitchen-living space that leads onto the back deck and out to the pool. I enjoyed the airy, bright office/sunroom, where I snuck away for some work time and connected with clients. The private yard is completely fenced in, with a large heated pool and plenty of patio furniture. The fire pit was perfect for gathering around at the end of the day. There were pool floats, noodles, and outdoor games in the shed, which were convenient to access. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet retreat of staying in the cottage with some downtime at the end of the day. The owners quickly responded to inquiries and replied hospitably, ensuring our stay was worry-free. We have plans to return next year!
