A perfect home to travel the west
The views were so incredible in all of the front rooms. The location was perfect for our adventures on the west coast of Ireland. I also LOVED the guide that was sent as it had ideas and suggestions I hadn’t considered.
I honestly can’t think of anything. It was such a wonderful stay for our adult family!
Magnificent. Wonderful property with views to die for. Equipped with everything you could want or need. Clean and comfortable within easy reach of Clifden by car. We have been friends for 54 years and have been to Ireland previously for breaks together but this surpasses them all
The property was large and ideally located. We enjoyed the magnificent views from every window. It was handsomely furnished.Had some issues with availability of hot water.Property manager responded and had plumber work on the problem. However the supply continued to be intermittent. The lighting switches and filtered water were oddly placed.I would stay there again and definitely recommend this home as a great vacation place.

The Irish Cottage you've always dreamed of
If you've always wanted to stay in an Irish Cottage on a cliff above the sea but still wanted modern amenities, One Upon A Tide is the place for you! A stone house with incredible views of the Atlantic and the bay, it boasts five bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths, three sitting rooms and a modern kitchen. Though you live in luxury, sitting on the porch or sitting rooms, you can imagine what the area was like centuries ago. We even had a wandering sheep and a pheasant come to call. The only regret I have about booking Once Upon A Tide is that we couldn't stay longer!
Have you ever wanted to stay in an Irish Cottage on the Cliffs above the sea, but were afraid you'd not have modern amenities? Once Upon A Time is the place for you! Located right off Sky Road with sweeping views of the bay and Atlantic, this stone house has five bedrooms, four and a half baths, modern kitchen and three sitting rooms. It is so comfortable you will be happy to sit and enjoy the view rain or shine. Less than 15 minutes to the town of Clifden with its format restaurants, grocery stores, spa and shops. Klyemore Abbey, Killary Sheep Farm and Connemara National Park are less than an hour away. We had a party of six and were very comfortable. Highly recommend this home away from home!

Heavenly House
This is one of the nicest houses. It’s a piece of heaven. No matter if the sun is shining or it rains. The view is glorious and every room has a view. My family come over from America and my two grandchildren just can’t wait to see the house again. Leaving they run around and say goodbye and tell the house not to miss them u til next year.
The house is so so clean and the house keepers need special praise and thanks.
If you could not enjoy this home and location then I feel very sorry for you.
Thanks again for allowing us to spend time in this special house and place. We will be back.
We had a wonderful time in the home. Incredible views, perfect location, and beautiful home. There are so many historical sights and activities that are easy to get to.
Beautiful views. Convenient to town. Three charming, separate sitting rooms, so lots of space for a larger group. Clean. Amenities….ok.A tip for Americans considering this house — the listing says that 2 of the bedrooms have king beds, but they are definitely not U.S. king-sized beds (probably because it’s IRELAND, not the U.S.!). A king bed in Ireland is slightly larger than a U.S. double bed, but not as large as a U.S. queen. So, an Irish King is not even as large as a U.S. Queen. One bedroom has two twin beds, and the four other rooms each had essentially one U.S. sized double bed (the Irish King is very slightly larger than the Irish double, and the Irish double is about the same as the U.S. double). All the hotels that we've stayed in while visiting Ireland which listed “king beds,” had U.S. sized king beds, or larger, so the bed size at the house was disappointing. But now we know to ask specific measurement sizes next time. The bed size probably doesn’t matter to a lot of folks, but for those who want the larger beds, I hope this is useful information. Nice house overall.

What a wonderful stay we had at Once Upon A tide. My wife and our children with their spouses and children had plenty of room. The house was very comfortable with location to Clifden Village and the views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean were perfect.
Great location Nice house. Difficulty communicating with manager/housekeeping. Fans needed in upper bedrooms that have no ventilation. Great views. Need instructions for using stove/ heating. One shower would not operate until property manager came 4 days later to give directions. Lots of pots/ pans /silverware.
This was the perfect "base camp" for our 7-day journey around the Wild Atlantic Way. The south views over Clifden Bay speak for themselves. The house was very well-appointed (although a couple more bath towels would have been nice; we got one per person). We saved thousands by not getting 4 hotel rooms and used the kitchen to cook meals for 8 a LOT. We would have preferred to have someone accompany us at check-in to learn about the nuances of the house (heating system, laundry, etc.), but good communication from the property managers helped in that regard. I can't wait to get back to the Clifden area again, and this property will be tops on my list!

Lovely location, unsuitable house
The house is in a lovely location but is overly priced, not good value for the money we paid and, in our view, not adequately provisioned for the number it holds.

Perfect!
The setting of the house is breathtaking!
It was absolute clean and the wifi worked within the whole house!
And we were so pleased of the two ladies from Connemara Holiday Lettings, who welcomed us and gave us so useful hints.
We hope to return to „ Once upon a tide“ soon.

The best of the wild Atlantic way
I rented this house to share with a couple of ladies .
We had a mini yoga retreat.
This house will leave you speechless.
Beyond gorgeous.
Million dollar views. Bed linen spotless and crisp.
I have rented many houses. This one gets the 100 percent pass.
Not a speck of dust under the beds.
We loved it .
Samantha and Yvonne the sgen6s are a pleasure to deal with.
Great advice and information.
We most certainly will be back to once upon a tide.
Yvonne thank you for recommending a home away from home.

A fantastic house with the most amazing views.
We were so lucky to stay in this amazing house: Seascape is furnished to a high end, from the comfy sofas throughoutt to the whole house, the super well equipped kitchen with all mod cons, to the generous supply of high quality bed linen and towel's. This house is a amazing! The dyer needs to be updated as it took over 2 hrs to get clothes and towel's dry on a small load but all we had a fabulous time staying there. The house is so big we didn't even use most of the rooms! Only to be recommended!
