This pet-friendly luxury log cabin is part of a 25-acre farm nestled on a private mountainside in the Smoky Mountains of North Georgia, in Rabun County. Cows, chickens, goats and pigs are in the lower barn and welcome your visit. Extra beds can accommodate up to 15 guests. You will be minutes from Lake Burton, Lake Rabun and Lake Seed and only 2 miles to Kingwood Golf Course. You will be only 7 miles from world-class white water rafting & kayaking on the Chatooga River and you will be surrounded by thousands of acres of US Forest Service land. You will find Appalachian crafts & art 3 miles away in downtown Clayton. Enjoy the view of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee & the Great Smoky Mountains or the wide creek and covered bridges in the valley below. Enjoy total privacy upon entering the property via 3 electronic gates. Huge loft sleeps 10. Open living/dining plan with 2 sets of sliding doors open to porch with hammock, swing, picnic table, magnificent mountain views. Fireplace & rock wall in LR, office behind it, 2 sets of washer/dryers, fast wireless internet, satellite TV, streaming stereo, high remote controlled windows for year-round breezes.

You will have no trouble with access as the wide, paved roads go all the way to the front door which can be accessed by carport ramp or stone steps.

My family stayed in this cabin over Thanksgiving break and it had everything we could hope for. Plenty of room, a large, fully stocked kitchen, and farm animals to pet and play with!

This property was just as advertised. It is excellent for family vacations. Convenient to Clayton and all it has to offer as well. The property has a large open area that is great if you have children.I would recommend it to anyone needing space for their vacation.

This was one of the most private and beautiful cabins I've had the pleasure to stay at. The home was cozy and the view was breathtaking. An added bonus was the farms animals located near the property, which me and my guests all had the pleasure of petting. Would definitely stay again!

The Perrys (who manage the animals) are the Salt of the Earth people. Loved talking with them. Access to the home was easy and fun to drive. We had a couple hiccups initially with the TV and internet but Carol was extremely attentive and with the help of her neighbor Todd, everything worked out great. The property itself was wonderful and the view was just something we could have stared at all day. Don't miss the sunrise! We all loved our visit and we're already planning our return.

What a hidden gem! On a gorgeous piece of property, this house feels remote yet is a quick drive to downtown Clayton. The home and views are even better than the VRBO listing photos. There are plenty of places for large groups to gather whether in the kitchen, dining room, or enormous porch with expansive views of the mountains. The host was an excellent communicator and was so kind to allow our group to check in early! We can’t wait to return!

Our family enjoyed our stay. Loved kids being able to run around and see the dogs, chickens, pigs, cows, etc.. The wrap around porch was a hit as well. We would sit out there and enjoy the Mountain View in the rocking chairs. House was well stocked with everything you need, just bring your clothes and food.

One of the nicest, most well appointed VRBO's we've stayed at, by far! The kitchen is well equipped, has modern appliances and LOTS of room. The view from the porch is nothing short of breathtaking....do NOT miss the sunrise, as it is absolutely stunning. Carol was awesome....responsive and accommodating. We have been visiting Mountain Creek Lodge for years now, and, once again, we had a wonderful time. The owner, Carol, has anticipated practically any wish guests might have and provided the essentials, comforts, and charm that should make every stay most enjoyable. The property is conveniently located so that guests can easily join people in town or sit on the porch and enjoy the solitude and fantastic views. We cannot recommend MCL enough and can truthfully say that Carol is a host par excellence!

Peaceful and magical. We fell in love immediately with the cows, mini pigs, goats, and absolutely beautiful Great Pyrenees at the bottom of the hill! Sitting outdoors on the porch is breathtaking! The owner is so kind and helpful. The little community there feels like "home". You are sure to enjoy!
