"A lovely apartment in an old house in the center of the village. Easy to get into Alba and to shops. Good walking around the village as well as paths close by through the vineyeards. Great space and fantastic views. Very comfortable and everything you need. Hosts also live on property - and while our Italian is very limited and they have little English - we communicated OK and they were very friendly and generous."

"On ne pourrait pas se sentir plus en Italie que dans la maison de Massimo. On est dans du traditionnel, le charme désuet. Une vue a couper le souffle. D'abord sur les vignes puis au loin les Alpes et le Monviso. Le calme est absolu. Pour les soirs les plus frais, la cheminée est top. Particulièrement adaptée pour des séjours en famille ou entre bons amis, deux des chambres étant en enfilade."

"This is a great place for a getaway from it all. In a remote beautiful mountainous area surrounded by wonderful woods. The coast is around 45 minute drive. My children loved it. However you might find it hard to stay longer without a washing machine, television, an oven, and a toaster. There is a basic internet connection and a new cooker and a well equipped kitchen. The hosts are both really friendly and helpful."

"The property itself is very nicely renovated and has a high quality touch and feel. Castino is nicely located to explore the Langhe. However, after renting holiday properties for almost 15 years we dare say that this one has let us down in several aspects. First and foremost it is not equipped sufficiently to serve 4 adults leave alone the 8 advertised. I.e. we only found a 2 cup Bialetti Mokka maker and a 4 cup filter coffee maker in the entire house; there were only 4 big coffee mugs for all...

The pool and pool area are lovely, and outside in the garden it's very tranquil with amazing views out across the mountains towards Dogliani, the nearest town of any size."

"We chose this property for its great location - just a 3 minute walk from the old city centre of Alba. The 1-BR apartment was clean, bright and comfortable. Spacious for 2 persons. We liked that we could book a space for our car, which allowed us to easily explore nearby towns. And we were glad to be there to experience their wonderful Saturday market.
