"This property did not disappoint! No detail was spared in making this the perfect spot for comfort and relaxation. And the views! The property was designed and situated to take advantage of panoramic scenery. Our fisherman were especially appreciative of the private boat ramp and dock. There were 3 couples and we all commented that you couldn’t go wrong with any of the 3 bedrooms….all 3 were comfortable and had their own baths. We will definitely stay again if back in the area. "The house was even better than anticipated! The owners thought of everything one might need when staying with a group. We cooked, grilled, swam, fished, canoed, kayaked, slept in the hammock, gathered around the firepit -- and had a fantastic experience. The location is picturesque on the shores of Lay Lake. The owner was quick to respond to our questions and incredibly accommodating. We can't stop talking about our time there and hope to go back again next year!"

"We came to visit family who lived nearby and we all loved staying at the lake house! The house sets on a peninsula surrounded by water with tall trees providing just the right amount of shade, breeze and beautiful view of the water. Having two boat slips and a covered dock was very nice and appreciated by all the bass fisherman in our family (electric also available at the dock was a bonus). The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a great time. We did not use...

"The house setup is great. We enjoyed sitting on the covered decks with a great view overlook the Waxahatchie. The flat top grill was a big hit. The house was well stocked and very comfortable. Great location ."

"The house was clean, stocked with everything you need but groceries! It worked great for our family of 12. We had some local family over too and had plenty of parking for 6-8 cars. Beds and bedding were very comfortable also! There are a couple things that are just a challenge for some! One full bath downstairs is hard, my 80 yr old mom slept upstairs and went to bed early so we had to wait for showers! But we never ran out of hot water, that’s a plus! My husband has vertigo and the spiral...

"I’ve stayed in all of Stewart’s properties and they don’t disappoint! Very attentive and there to assist with any issues. We enjoyed watching the sheep and burro in the fields…listening to the rooster crow in the am and the owl hooting at night. Comfortable nights under the porch just chatting. Highly recommended!"

"We had a great time with 3 kids, age 8-12. They were able to kayak and fish in the cove safely. Internet/tv was very limited/spotty at times. You will need to drive 20-30 minutes for most groceries/restaurants."

"This house was an amazing jewel to stay at! Fantastic location off the lake and close to Alabaster with an easy commute. Our group loved sitting by the fire each night and the amount of seating is perfect for a large group. We had a maintenance issue during our stay and the housekeeper came out immediately to assist. Great communication from owner."

"The view was nothing short of spectacular! Linen was clean and sleeping was very comfortable. There was plenty of trash or litter scattered about the property. There is a terrible ant problem on the property. All in all we had a pleasant stay."
