"The room was in a small house called the cottage which was nice with all the facilities we needed. The lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The only downside was that we were near the front door, so could hear people coming in out during the evening. It's worth getting there earlier in the day if possibe as it is on street parking with a permit provided at check-in, and there we no spaces left closer than the other end of the street."

"Convenient but road is very noisy for a stay in Southampton for St Marys attendance. Bed was a little uncomfortable for someone who is 6'2" but facilities were clean and safe. Good to have free parking and overall about right value for money."

The staff were friendly and efficient and not only seemed to really care about guests but also about each other - they appeared to have the right sort of rapport with each other, making everything run very smoothly."

"Greeting by staff was a bit muddled as one person started, and one person interupted. Room was okay, view onto green, but was above doorway into pub where people came outside to smoke. Bed was a short double so my feet stuck out of end of bed (I am not over 6 feet in height). Steep stairs to rooms."

"Lovely one night stop over at the Old Vine. We arrived on a sinday and decided to have a sunday roast in the restaurant. Highly recommended the restaurant, food and service was great. Staff are all very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. We were shown up to our room and was supprised at how big it was. "The hotel was very convenient and close to the seafront. The room was comfortable and it had a walk-in shower which I needed. I also have difficulty with stairs, so I chose the hotel because it has a lift. It also has plenty of parking and the staff were very friendly. Will stay there again next time I visit the Isle of Wight."
