"A real wow location, in a characterful old water mill. A wonderful piece of France, with plenty too see, eat and drink within an easy drive along pot-hole free roads. The Domaine de Cande was especially interesting, the location of the Traitor King's (Edward VIII) marriage to Mrs Simpson by a corrupt clergyman in 1937."

"Les maisons sont propers et pratiques . On a une terrasse et, important, une piscine. La situation Est ideale pour les visites des châteaux comme ALR, Villandry, Langeais, Saché.. et Chinon."

"Unfortunately, due to inconsederate guests, we were not able to stay in the 3 bedrooms lodged we had booked. Mrs Domange set us up in the other cottage, which is a 4 bedrooms one. The cottage is less modern that the one we had chosen but none the less confortable. Other than that the estate is gorgeous and it was such a pleasure to be able to have morning or evening walks around the park. The swimming pool was also a plus. As far the region is concerned, there is so much to do and see that if...

"Belle maison au calme et située à moins d'une heure de sites remarquables tels que Amboise, Chenonceaux, Loches, Azay-le-Ferron etc....et aussi du magnifique zoo de Beauval. La piscine a également été particulièrement appréciée. Enfin et surtout, les propriétaires sont charmants, sympathiques et à l'écoute. Merci à eux."

"Logement idéalement situé pour visiter les châteaux de la Loire. Beaucoup trop chaud à l'étage (Pont Ascension), Dommage car nous avons mal dormi. Il faudrait une clim pour l'été. Soucis d'odeurs WC en bas. Des travaux sont prévus. Possibilité de muscu, tennis de table, sympa."

El apartamento está muy bien equipado y todo está muy limpio y nuevo, al lado de la casa de los propietarios en un enclave muy tranquilo. "The property has a stunning view and a great scenery. but the houses are very soberly furnished. no TV, no sofa, no wardrobes in 2 of the 3 bedrooms. no shower cubicle. in the kitchen there were very few tools. In the garden, there where no chairs or umbrella provided outside, only an uninviting picnic table"

"We were a family group with a 5 year old and a two year old. The pool is great and we made good use of it each day. The location is rural and peaceful. The house is beautiful and the gardens are wonderful with lots of space. The beds were comfortable and the house well equipped. The welcome pack of wine, local cheese and bread was a lovely touch. The grounds were secure for the children to play although the little one did manage to crawl under the gate... but he is a bit of a Houdini! Directions...

"Sejour en famille pour fêter un anniversaire. Gîte tres agréable tout clôturé pour le chien. Tres calme et fonctionnel, chaque couple a sa propre chambre avec salle de bain. Grande cuisine avec tous le nécessaire. Les extérieurs sont arborés, barbecue, table pour vivre dehors( et table de ping pong, jeu flechette..)Météo malheureusement peu ensoleillé et piscine non chauffé ( juste le dôme garde la chaleur si fermé) malgré le temps nous avons passé un très bon séjour."

"Having rented accommodation in France in the past, we were expecting the gite to be very basic but we were pleasantly surprised at the size of this one. It was also clean, airy and very well equipped and having use of a pool was a definite bonus. We were greeted by Colin the collie (who we all fell in love with), promptly followed by Clair and Robert. Our hosts were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable of the area and were able to make recommendations re. places to visit. We were, however,...
