"We stayed here as two families with 5 children between us. The property is really lovely, it has so much character and is set in spacious grounds so ample room for the children to entertain themselves. The pool is a good size and right next to the house and there was plenty of useful information left by the owners to help plan trips further afield."

"What a situation and what a great conversion to a holiday let. We were greeted by the host, who had already lit the wood burner, this was most welcome as the weather was cold also left us a bottle of fizz. We did find the stairs a little daunting but this was down to the fact we were all in our late 70's early 80's. The main bedroom is vast, triple aspect with great views across the river which is also a bird watchers delight. A great property in an amazing location."

"Quiet semi rural location in an area close to lots of fun things to do and see. Beds were comfortable, home was clean and well stocked in the kitchen with items for cooking or heating food. Alexandre was very responsive and met us at the property both checking in and leaving. We had a good stay."

"Small but perfectly formed. Only lack of its own outside space, access to a terrace so we could eat outside, was our only frustration. Marc on behalf of his mum was excellent. Because of its aspect the house was very hot in the over 30C weather. We appreciated the ready access to buses and of course the Riverside"

"We had an amazing visit to the heart of the Loire Valley. This is a beautifully renovated old building in the quaint old village of Larcay. A 2 minute walk to the river or an amazing little restaurant called Les Planchettes. Easy access to Tours and the many castles and vineyards in the area. It feels like travelling back in time but with all of the modern amenities. Thanks to Sylvain and Adele for everything, including the welcome bottle of delicious Vouvray! Highly recommended."

"A comfortable, clean, charming escape, with country quiet, proximity to Loire Valley castles, and food shopping. Bucolic and perfectly landscaped, with welcoming hosts. Two small things: (1) a surprise 75 euro cleaning fee on top of vrbo charges (announced after confirmation/deposit) and (2) no Wi-Fi or phone service (the owner is addressing this)."

"We enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage! We would have been a little more reassured about the location if Google Earth hadn't shown a very cluttered area just in front filled with children's toys, a camper and other items, though! Found it a bit difficult navigating from the parking across the lowly light ground in front (uneven lawn). Otherwise, everything was just perfect. Hosts very responsive. Thank you!"

"The house is just like in the photos, although they don’t really do it justice. We all had a fabulous time, there was enough of everything - from generous size mugs to plates and outdoor chairs. The house was lovely and cool inside, even though it was fairly hot outside. The pool was brilliant, with half of it at a great depth for the 4 year olds, and the deep end was still good for adults jumping in. The space around the house made it feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but the villages...

"One of the BEST places our family has stayed! The owner is so kind. The house is decorated with thoughtfulness. We were there during Easter time and she decorated it for the Easter season! Wonderful location. Can’t recommend enough!!"

The property vastly exceeds the description and certainty our expectations. There are many châteaux and wineries. Frederic helped us with our itinerary. We would very much love to return."

"We loved our stay at this cute cottage just a few minutes drive outside of Amboise. It is perfectly located for castle sightseeing, away from the busy city but easily accessible. Our hosts were wonderful and informative. The property is as described in the listing and in excellent condition. Would absolutely stay here again."

"Awful. It felt like a homeless person place. No AC, No Hairdryer, Shower head has to be held to be used, Dirty floors with circular burns in carpet, no toiletries or towels, no AC in fitness center, very sketchy area, dirty refrigerator, no coffee, very late checkin and very early checkout. Worst place I have EVER stayed. "

"The hotel is comfortable but located in a sketchy area. It’s convenient for three reasons, available parking for a fee, a shopping mall across the street with a small supermarket and a tram that takes you to the city center across the street on the main avenue. "
