"Casa de Don Moncho refused to allow us to check in because our bus from Managua arrived late. They left us stranded late at night without a room. I've lodged a complaint with INGUAT (the Guatemalan tourism department) and learned that this hotel IS NOT A LICENSED HOTEL and DOES NOT HAVE THE PERMITS TO OPERATE AS A HOTEL IN ANTIGUA. Now the hotel is keeping my money instead of reimbursing me for the 14 nights they denied me. Tip- there are LOTS of hotels in Antigua, find another one."

"We had quite mixed feelings about our stay here. First of all the fact that you can only check in between 14 and 18 didn’t say in our confirmation email. I can see that it says in the app but it’s not stated everywhere. We arrived at 20.30 after we had to spend some time at the airport filing reports for lost luggage.
