When enjoying the outdoors of Alaska and it's scenic beauty. It's always nice to have a warm place to stay. Clean hot water, ample kitchen and utensils for cooking and enjoying meals. The quietness and scenic beauty around The area was spectacularspectacular
This spot worked out well for our family of 5. There are two beds and to pull-out couches/futons. The futon was a bit firm and could use an optional foam mattress cover. The host was friendly and helpful! The location was quiet, peaceful and felt safe. We would stay again.
Quiet neighborhood, beautiful views, perfect choice for our group of 3. Property was well stocked with everything we needed. The lock box system was genius as we didn’t always have the same plans. Affordable and quaint . We will be back! Thanks Jacob and Kate

Antiquated
Overall, this place served our vacation purpose. However, the master bedroom bedspread had stains on it. The pillows had to be 30 years old and flat. Not enough blankets per room. There was only a 1/2 roll of toilet paper, and we had to go to the store on day one. One dangerous issue is the fact the front porch light doesn't work and a slip and fall issue is very real.
One of the worst homes i have ever stayed in. Extremely dirty. Dirty shirt in kitchen drawer, paint cans in kitchen cupboards, trash in cupboards, dishwasher was just a shell, oven was filthy.
On phone 6 hours with vrbo. That too was terrible service. Still not resolved.
This house should not be on a listing for rental vacation house.
Perfect overnight location for family in Anchorage
We stayed at this rental for one night as it was the closest affordable option near the airport in Anchorage for a large family. It was perfect for this purpose! We appreciated the open layout of the living room and kitchen. The pull out couch and two bedrooms provided plenty of space for us to spread out. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood and location!
This place was exactly what we needed—cozy, clean, and super convenient. Our group was attending a nearby Boy Scout summer camp just a mile away, and it was a perfect home base for quick trips to do laundry and take hot showers. It only took about 5 minutes to get where we needed to be, which made everything incredibly easy. We really appreciated having a comfortable place to recharge during a busy week. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing a convenient stay in the area!
Visit was mostly pleasant. Would have been 5 stars except for a few handyman type fixes that detracted from the experience. The bedroom doors stuck to the point that it was difficult to close the doors without waking kids. Kitchen chairs were wobbly/loose. Would have liked a dishrag in the kitchen.Other than the few things though, this was an excellent visit.

The desription of the cabin as "Scenic Alaskan cabin in the mountains" is NOT accurate. It is an old 2 story duplex, not a cabin. This place is in a run down neighborhood right off the Glenn Hyw in earshot of the traffic noise. Yes, there is a mountain in front of the house, but everything in Alaska has a mountain in view. All you can see of this "mountain" is the side and woods.
The furnishings and provided cooking gear and coffee maker are Y2K yardsale and thrift store finds. It has old cracked barstools and high table to eat at and 1980's chairs and futon for a couch. Cabinets and countertops are 1980's at best with a quicky paint job and interior decor to match, including the priceless cabin painting done by aunt Betty. Beds have no headboards so your pillow slide off the bed and onto the floor. The owner will send you a message if you don't park as directed in the check in instructions, like it matters when there are burnt out cars in the road and a junky yards all over the area.
The place was clean and the plumbing worked. They also charge a cleaning fee on top of the nightly rate so add that to the advertized price. Would you pay that at a hotel on top of the room rate?
Overall, this place should be a last resort if everything else is booked and you need a place to sleep and shower. Definitly NOT a place to stay and relax.
Not worth the cost and we would NOT stay there again.
The upstairs home was cozy and welcoming. I booked it for 4 adults and 2 children for 2 nights, they provided 1 1/2 rolls toilet paper and 1/3 rolls paper towels. If you stay here bring your own paper products, coffee cups as theirs are only decorative and entertainment. Tv only works about 2 hours per day. You share the property with multiple tenants, but it was quiet.

Kitchen was unorganized. Whole place could use general maintenance—rust, missing paint. 3rd bed listed in description was not there.
We stayed at this house on our way from Anchor Point to Denali, so it was a brief stop. It absolutely does not have space for 8 people despite being listed for 8. It is missing a double bed in one of the bedrooms. We could not find enough blankets for the 6 people in our group. The eating space is one tiny table with 3 stools and a small bar area that has 3 chairs. Thankfully, we were eating in shifts anyway. Otherwise, the house was clean and had easy check in/check out.
Was a nice place to get out of the city and be near some great nature activities. Overall the apartment was clean and a good experience. Only thing is that there needs to be more bedding and extra blankets. Comforter was really thin and it was cold and rainy so would be nice to have extra blankets. TV wasn't connected to any service so the only thing you could use it for was to cast something from a phone. That's not a big deal for us though since we didn't come to Alaska to watch TV.
You are crazy if you stay in the house was a dump when we got there no coffee even though they told me there was there no toilet paper and no paper towels we were short 1 blanket there was only 2 there for four beds and only two of the light sockets worked there are no racks in the dishwasher and the hot water only works on one faucet at a time tv didn’t work
