Lovely stay. The staff upgraded us to a larger room because of the extra stairs we had to climb with our luggage. They did not charge us. Dinner was delicious, and the service wonderful.

As always the Captains Club hotel was excellent!

We were looking for a place to stay overnight after attending a friend's wedding in the area. The staff at The Fisherman's Haunt were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early so we could be on time for the wedding and have our room key for when we returned much later in the evening. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was very nice and the shower ran hot and with good water pressure. Off the beaten track little gem of an hotel. Historic, local railway station forms site of today's hotel. Still has vintage rolling stock at platform. Very friendly, warm welcome from all staff. Good restaurant, with varied menu. Comfortable, clean rooms, with children and dog friendly grounds.

Brilliant stay here.. beautiful country location but close to the town. The ladies who greeted us and looked after us were friendly, accommodating and just genuinely great people. Wish we could have stayed longer! Hope we will be back

Had not visited IOW since a child over 60 years ago so loved everything - it did not disappoint . Breakfast was delightful with Bridget. Would visit again.

We booked this hotel for a two night stay - pre cruise. We are still in awe of our stay here at The White Star Tavern Hotel. Only one night, late arrival but restaurant staff very accommodating. Room small but very clean and no problems. Bathroom nicely appointed. Would stay again , hopefully with more time .
