"We enjoyed our stay at Rachel's Place. The house is spacious and the porch was great for hanging out. The beds were comfortable and we had what we needed. There was even a gas grill outside on the porch for us to use. We did not fish on Eagle lake, we were actually in the area fishing the Mississippi river. So it was a bit of a drive into town, but we didn't mind that. Everyone we met was extremely nice and responsive during our stay."

"Liked the unique room although hot water wasn’t very hot. Wine and cheese was nice upon arrival but I think the host should have poured the wine. People poured large amounts. The sit down breakfast and tour of Duff mansion was lovely!!"

"The owners have done a great job of taking this old building and turning it into a lovely place. Speakeasy is a good term considering the doorway is between two businesses and can be easily overlooked. Then the long stairwell leads you up to this great apartment. Once inside, the loft is well-appointed with a lovely kitchen, living area, bedroom, and two very nice bathrooms. We would certainly stay here again!"
