"We have mixed feelings about our stay at the Mekong Lodge. The hotel and grounds are quaint, and we got to extensively relax at the bar and by the pool, which was nice after being in loud and busy HCMC. However, the hotel is undergoing renovations, and the sounds of construction filled the air from 730am to 730pm -> not so nice if you intend to take a nap in your room, or eat lunch in the restaurant by the water. If the construction wasn't enough, then the cacaphony of roosters at 4am will...

"We had a fantastic night at the Coco Farmstay. The owners were welcoming and helpful, cooked us a delicious (and enormous!) meal, and we were able to hire bikes the next morning to explore the coconut plantations and waterways of the surrounding area. It's in a beautiful location - about a 10 minute taxi from Ben Tre, but well worth the few £'s it costs to get there. A really tranquil and peaceful spot, unlike anything else you'll find in the Delta. The only downside was the storm overnight...

"Staff are very friendly and speak english. They arranged scooters for us, which is great for going out at nighttime to the big local seafood restaurants. Breakfast is varied for all tastes, but like many hotel breakfasts we experienced in vietnam hot items are generally luke warm or cold. Coffee is excellent. Rooms are roomy and comfortable.
