I cant understand some of the reviews that claim some of the furniture is a bit worn.... the house has charm and has the sense of travelling around the world (which Stanley has) without ever leaving and feeling extremely helpful. "On the downside the heating was a little hit and miss! Floors were very noisy and the blind cords very flimsy. The frontdoor was difficult to close from the outside. Some interesting features for younger people but older visitors would appreciate more comfortable armchairs. Having said all that we did enjoy our stay."

"The cottage was dirty, the kitchen smelt of grease and all the pots where dirty. It smelt very fusty like it had been left unused for a long time. Beds where very uncomfortable, my wife described it as the worst nights sleep she has ever had. None of my kids could sleep either. Left after the first night and had to spend more money to stay somewhere. When I mentioned all this to the host they completely ignored me and stopped responding to my messages."

"Lovely little lodge with lots of sweet extra touches like fairy lights, a cosy fireplace and outdoor bath. The fully enclosed, large garden is ideal for dogs and children, with beautiful views from every angle. Lovely to see horses and cows so close. Jon is an excellent and very friendly host. We were looked after very well, whilst left in privacy as a family. The King size bed was very comfortable and the other room had 2 single beds in, plus the lounge has a double sofa bed, so you could...

"From beginning to the end Catherine and Thomas have been brilliant. We arrived early and Catherine said we could go straight to the cottage, ( which with a 2 and half year old) saved us having to find somewhere to hang around for a couple of hours. As the other cottage wasnt being used at the time we were able to adjust our booking times of the pool if we needed to. The place itself is beautiful and has everything you need. Catherine even made us home made scones with jam and cream, milk, butter...

"Had a really great time in this house. Ample space for everyone to chill out, relax and the location was pretty good too. The outdoor space was definitely the highlight. Well manicured lawn, play area, lounge."

"You cross the street and walk through the gate, and the Cathedral is right there! Large/spacious kitchen and dining room with lots of natural light. The mattresses are not quite as comfortable as we have become used to—-you can definitely feel the springs. Overall, our family (5 adults) had a great time in Salisbury and really enjoyed our stay in this apartment."
