"All I can say is WOW! I went to one of the most remote towns in Alaska and stayed in the nicest VRBO ever! Kelly was an amazing host as a long time resident of McCarthy. He picked us and all of our gear up at the footbridge and drove us to the house. The house itself is beautiful and very well laid out with 1 main floor bedroom and a full bath and 2 large bedrooms upstairs with 2 queen sized beds, a daybed and 1 futon. Even the futon is really high quality and all beds have memory foam mattresses. The furnishings in the home are of a very high quality and super comfortable. The kitchen is wonderful with a huge gas range, tons of counter space, and has quality cookware for preparing meals. The side deck has a gas grill that is easy to use and looks brand new. The views from the dining room and living room are spectacular. I could not think of a single negative thing to say about this property. It is about a 5-7 minute walk from the restaurants and shuttle pickup. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. If I am ever back in McCarthy I would only stay in this home. "This place was very cozy. The owner Luann was very knowledgeable about the area. We wanted something not quite in the middle of everything and this was perfect. Explored Wrangell StElias NP quite a bit which was spectacular! Although this is no longer a B&B we knew that when we booked. There were other options in the area still open for the season such as Nummys in Copper Center, which was amazingly good!!!!"

"We were only there for one night but we loved the place. The "Little House" cabin that we stayed in was very nicely updated inside, with the true log wall exterior. The chickens, turkeys, sheep, and goat were all there. We live in the country too so this made us feel a little piece of home during our travels through the beautiful state of Alaska."
