Whatever room was above mine had someone who stomped around & sounded like they were dragging furniture every night until around midnight. Staff were friendly to deal with via email but communication was patchy in regards to adding a towel to my room & feedback in regards to the condition of the room. Wifi not great, some apps would not...

"A lovely historic end of terrace house and garden, as shown in its picture. We'd assumed that several homes were pictured, but this is all the destination. The interior is packed with vintage and antique objects so young children or dogs must be careful."

"The weather was not particularly kind to us during our stay so the property's great location helped enormously in keeping us dry (being literally metres from the Roman Baths, the Abbey and Heritage Centre). With five adults and two teenagers the property's size accommodated us all easily. Paul was very welcoming and despite the weather we all enjoyed our stay."

"We could not wish for a better house for the weekend. The property was so impressive and very well equipped. It was spacious and so clean and little touches were amazing. The best part of the house was the outdoor space and the pool and hot tub which was heated and very clean. "We enjoyed our stay here. Sean greeted us and helped us get settled in. The house is lovely and has all the amenities you need. Just a few minutes stroll into the picturesque town of Painswick with it's typical Cotswolds buildings (don't miss visiting St. Mary's Church and its 99 yew trees!). The house is also a very easy drive to other sights in the area, including the magnificent Gloucester Cathedral and the Roman museum in Cirencester. "We had another lovely stay at the Lower Mill estate. Kids enjoyed the watersports, bike rentals, swimming and tennis and the independence of having it all within easy access. The cottage was a good space for the 2 families - 2 mums, 4 kids with a well stocked kitchen. It was a little dusty as nobody had stayed for awhile, which did also mean a lot of quite large spiders. Probably inevitable as you are so near the water but they were some of the biggest I have ever seen or had to deal with!"

"Lovely house in great location. Took us a while to work out how to use the key but that was probably our fault! Also we were given the wrong code for back door key so could not use back door til we met laundry lady who gave us the right code! Showers were not great - some had no pressure or hot water but we managed with the ones that did work! Heating worked well. Dishwasher broken but we didn’t do any cooking so wasn’t a problem. We would definitely book this house again"

"Lower Mill Estate has a wonderful network of paths and trails around some of the most beautiful lakes in the Cotswolds. Having now stayed here for nearly two months between sellling and buying a new property I know most of the area really well. It is wonderful to see many different species of birds and water fowl and to know about the beaver project - although sadly I never actually saw a beaver. The Ballyhoo also provided much needed coffee on occasions and was always welcoming."

"A beautiful house on four floors with lovely large well kept and clean room. The kitchen was very spacious with lots of room for entertaining. The only issue I had was that when I asked for the single bedded rooms to be made up they did not get the message as this is through the virtual assistant. This was a minor issue that didn’t affect our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone as location was great and lots of facilities. "

"Very clean, cosy property. Quite remote but very peaceful. A walk from nearest pub or drive to the village. Bedrooms are good size and very nice bathrooms also. Everything you need for a peaceful get away"
