"Stayed monthly for 4 years to visit granddaughters. Always got room 322 - staff was great. Watched young man behind the desk grow and attend college. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else!"

"The room was clean, but none of the switches worked for the 3 lamps even though they had switches. It was all wired to the main wall light switch for the room. So 5 bright lamps or no lights at all were the only two options. The toilet made weird loud screeching noises with every flush. There were patches of white unpainted wall that were very noticeable due to the blue paint everywhere else. The hot tub was a good temperature and not overly chemical smelling but there's no directional nozzles on the jets, so water is launched up at your face. Since the bench seat is so low, that means hot water splashing in your eyes and mouth. The pool was supervised and over run with teenagers cannonballing into it. The floor drains cannot keep up with that constant barrage of water and the whole floor was submerged in 3" of standing water, making leaving the area slippery and unsafe. The tap water isn't safe to drink, but they did provide stations for filtered water. The doors don't swing shut on their own, you have to pull your room door shut."

"When arrived the hotel smelt of weed. There was boxes all over the hotel lobby, hallway, parking lot. Room was semi cleanly, bathroom was dirty, wash rag had spots on them, beds were not comfortable. "

"As others have commented, this property likely is brand new and it shows! It’s beautiful, well maintained, quiet and well designed. We had no complaints other than we wished there was a hot tub. Breakfast was also perfect. Not too much and not too little. Highly recommend for the area, for us it was the perfect pit stop before heading into Minnesota!"

"The guest house is one of the most charming and accommodating places I have ever stayed in. The proprietor is a historian who is warm and personalizes the experience for each guest with humble grace. She has taken a late 1800's manor house and refurbished it to it's original elegance. Upon arrival, you get a tour of the house and if interested, a verbal tour of the history of the estate, the town, and the territory as it became a state. She reviews how the local businesses provided a major contribution in the development of the United States. Being a history buff myself, this was particularly intriguing to have my own , in-house, historian. She has created great accommodations with special attention to all of the details a weary traveler may have forgotten. The beds are very comfortable with silk pillowcases. There are extra throw blankets to keep one warm on an afternoon nap. Perhaps the coup de gras is her home cooked and lovingly prepared hearty, healthy breakfasts, each morning you arise. This Guest House embraces you and makes your stay better. SG"
