"The place was well stocked and comfortable. It was also closely located to the Wood River Reserve which mae walks and birding pleasant. The one thing I had not researched prior was the availability of restaurants in the area so I was glad thete was a Dollar General nearby."

"Pros: Check-in was keyless and easy. Beds were fine, kitchen was well stocked with tools for cooking. The lake views were also a draw for sure, and it was quiet. Cons: It was a hot day and the inside of the house was VERY warm (88 F). Despite what was advertised, there is NOT central AC. There is a small mobile Toshiba unit in the back bedroom, but it was off. When we turned it on it leaked and sprayed water everywhere (which someone knew, because there was a towel on the floor under it). No instructions were provided about what to do, and multiple calls to the manager went unanswered until almost 1 AM that night. The manager eventually texted at 10:15 the next day saying to close the windows and use the broken Toshiba. Our only other options were one fan with a taped-up cord, and a switch for a whole-house fan that didn’t work. Eventually we looked up the AC model online and found instructions for how to drain it. A hassle that had to be repeated every 3 hours day and night if it was to operate at all, but it was not capable of cooling other rooms. There were also dead gnats and spiderwebs everywhere. They know it’s not clean and have a note on the fridge asking guests to complain directly to them since there’s no cleaning fee. But this was days/weeks of gnats, not a one-off hiccup. It is also worth noting (though this is mentioned in the listing) that the water here is brown and sulfurous, so a water cooler is provided. "

"This home is great. We stayed here for 10 days while attending an event at Train Mountain. The location was very convenient and the home felt totally comfortable. It is very spacious and very “homey.” The décor is not modern, if that matters to anyone, but it just makes it feel more comfortable. The management company was extremely responsive to the few small issues we had, even keeping us informed when there was a power failure in the area for a few hours. Some outside areas could use some sprucing up, so first impressions might be a bit skewed, but that really did not detract from our enjoyment. "

"We came to visit Crater Lake in mid June. Our host was wonderful about answering questions about the property and sharing tips about great places to eat and play. Everything he told us about was spot on. The house was big, it could accommodate at least six people, the breakfast/coffee bar was very well stocked and much appreciated. The house is like coming to your own cozy mountain cabin. The kitchen has everything you can cook with provided. The yard is on acreage and has a fenced yard for dogs or small kids. You can even bring your horse, there is a place for them too! All kinds of indoor and outdoor games have been provided. Did I mention it’s about 30 miles to Crater Lake? It is a place like none other. The hiking was unbelievable. We were extremely happy with our visit. Thank you for the great memories!"
