Nope, not a golf course, this is a shot of Mound City. A collection of 22 earthen mounds of varying heights and sizes made by the Hopewell Indians over 2000 years ago. The mounds were threatened by the construction of Camp Sherman in 1917 to train troops for WWI. Today the site is managed by the National Park Services.
Good hiking trails, waterfalls, cliffs and great views. You can also hike down to the creek and see another island that you cant see in the photo. If your lucky you'll also see the eagles flying in the valley.
Paint creek gorge at peak colors.
