MICH AVE Downtown, Grant Park, Museums #25 2bd/2ba

✅ FAST WIFI
✅ Comfy KING beds

If you are looking for a special place, you've found it!

(Pssst... Quick favor if you're thinking about booking: Please read the entire listing as it likely answers any questions you may have. Thanks!)

Our home is located in a bigger (hence, safe) building with 24/7 Security & Front door people near Downtown and South Loop. Once you get your key/fob using our simple check-in guide, you walk into the lobby. With key/fob, you may go up to your floor.

Once you take the elevator up, you take a left out of the elevator and walk all the way down to the corner unit.

Open the door and you are welcome to beautiful views of Chicago. The home opens up to a kitchen on the right and the living room straight ahead. To the left is bedroom and bathroom one. If you walk further one, you'll see bedroom and bathroom two.

There are also great amenities so make sure to keep your fob with you at all times! There is a rooftop deck, business center, and a lounge for your enjoyment. You may also use the laundry facilities for $2 per wash and $2 per dry. Lastly, there is a gym attached to the building, which you may purchase passes during your stay.

There is a NOISE MONITORING system within the home to track decibel noise level. Please respect our neighbors and do not get too loud outside quiet hours :)

FAQs
Q: Is the neighborhood safe?
A: Very much so. 24 hours a day.

Q: PARKING?
A: The home is very easy to get to via public transit. There is public parking connected to the building, operated by LAZ. It is $15-30 / night. SPOTANGELS is your best bet to find FREE parking. Before you park please check all available signs as they may have changed and make sure there are no parking restrictions. Please use SPOTHERO for other parking options.

Q: Do I need to bring towels, a hair dryer, or linens?
A: Nope! we provide all these things. We also provide you with a starter pack of toilet papers.

Q: When can I check in or check out?
A: Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am. Early check ins can be difficult if there are guests who checked out same day. We ask for an early check-in, or a late-check out fee, if you request either.

Q: Luggage Drop-Off / Storage?
A: If you do not have flights that coincide with our check-in and checkout times, you may use RadicalStorage to store your bags for your optimal time :)

Q: Can I come and go as I please?
A: Yes. And we wouldn't trust any listing with which this isn't the case.

Q: Is the place professionally cleaned between guests?
A: Yes, and we take pride in providing a clean home for guests.

Q: What's my total booking price?
A: We honestly have no idea. With fees included, it only shows the guest how much they pay. This figure should be present after you enter your dates. Note that, pricing varies on a daily basis, and it actually uses some crazy algorithm to adjust it automatically, so I don't actually control this.

Q: Are the beds comfortable?
A: Very. Some guests say they're the best they've ever slept on!

You have full access to the home, and building amenities with your key fob. Please always keep it on hand!

We are here to help, but give you space to enjoy :)

The South Loop is such a dynamic mix of attractions and histories that the neighborhood tends to be seen as many different things to many different people. Consider the assorted areas that comprise the South Loop:

Much of its eastern edge is encompassed by the Museum Campus, an impressive collection of cultural treasures that includes the Field Museum, Adler Planetarium and Shedd Aquarium. This campus sits on scenic lakefront parklands that are an extension of Grant Park. With 319 acres of green space and recreational fields, Grant Park is known as "Chicago's front yard" to locals and also plays host to major city events such as Taste of Chicago, Chicago Blues Festival and Lollapalooza.

Jutting out further into Lake Michigan is Northerly Island, a peninsula sought out by nature lovers, while along the southern edge the sports fans know Soldier Field as the stadium for the beloved Chicago Bears football team. Meeting attendees are most familiar with McCormick Place, the largest convention center in the country, which is also in the immediate area.

And yet there are even more facets to the South Loop. History buffs point out the Motor Row District along South Michigan Avenue and nearby Prairie Avenue District, the "Millionaire's Row" that was lined with mansions belonging to Chicago's most wealthy elite during the end of the 19th century.

In the adjacent Printer's Row neighborhood, urban loft condos now fill the commercial spaces in what was formerly the center of the Midwest's publishing industry. Connections to this past are still seen within the venerable, independent book store and annual summer lit fest here. But business professionals and students have brought new life and redevelopment (though the vibe remains mellow), filling the restaurants, music clubs, smaller theaters and museums that have all established themselves in the community.

You are only a 1 block away from the minute walk from Green, Red, and Orange "L" subway stop, which gets you virtually everywhere in the City. You are also a short walk to a number of restaurants and attractions

The place was so inviting and the view was spectacular of the city. My teenage boys loved everything except the quiet hours (haha) - there are plenty of places to eat within a block or two. We were able to easily catch the train to all the places we went. Definitely enjoyed the stay.

The location is so close to the park, the museums and the L. We were able to walk or take the train everywhere. The view is incredible too!

The apartment was spotlessly clean. The two bedrooms were large and had big wardrobes. The kitchen was well equipped. The views were fantastic and the situation could not have been better. Highly recommended.

This property provided everything we needed for an amazing time in Chicago! The location was perfect walking distance to Grant Park for Lollapalooza, and the hosts were highly attentive and kind throughout the entire experience. I would absolutely rebook with them if the opportunity presents itself. Thank you, JW and Tonya for everything!

Great spot at the south end of Grant Park, just 1 1/2 short blocks from 3 lines of the "L". The only other trip we've taken without a rental car was Paris. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed. The curved corner window afforded a view of Grant Park and a wonderful nighttime street scene from the 25th floor. I'd recommend breakfast at the "Yolk" restaurant just a block up Michigan Ave.

Just dingy and not in good shape. Holes in walls repaired poorly and wires for TV sticking out everywhere. Kitchen not well stocked. Only one key fob for access.

I will start by saying the location was perfect for our activities we were in town for and we felt very safe there. The check in was a bit confusing but they did provide pictures for the check in process that was a big help. However, the unit itself was horrible. One of the bedrooms smelled so strongly of cat urine that we could actually pinpoint on the carpet where the odor was coming from. Not only that but there was cat hair everywhere in that room and on one of the couches in the living room which leads me to believe it obviously was not cleaned properly prior to our arrival. I did reach out within the first half hour of checking in to the property owner and got a response to check the toilet for urine and if that was the smell. It obviously was not. They did nothing to try to rectify the situation. Later that evening when I still did not get an appropriate response I reached out to VRBO to make a claim and afterwards I heard nothing in response from either party. I am extremely disappointed in our stay due to the quality of the unit and lack of accountability from the property owners and VRBO for following up on my claim. It does not deserve more than a star rating based on our experience.

The apt is nice and large, especially the bedrooms. We were looking for two Master en suites and they delivered. Nice beds. Good options on the TV. A bit small on the dining room (only seating for 4) and counter seating. The kitchen was fine but the cooking pans were very old. Great to walk outside and the bus stop was right there and the train station was just one street down. We enjoyed our time very much in Chicago!

We had a great time in Chicago. I thought this property was delightful! It was quiet and clean, close to things we wanted to see, a block away from the train, and walking distance to many museums. We could see both Willis tower and the city skyline as well as the lake and Navy Pier! Lovely Stay!

We strongly suggest that you make clearer the arrangement with the LAZ parking garage below the building. We purchased online extended stay tickets believing we could come and go and that was not the case. Other than that we only have positive things to say.
