Hotel Atlantic Palace

10/10 Excellent

"I have been to Florence a few times but this was my first time staying at Hotel Atlantic Palace. I would be happy to stay here again! Staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our whole stay (3 nights). The room was clean and perfect for my partner and I. The location of the hotel was great, too, less than 10 minute from the Santa Maria Novella train station and within walking distance to Duomo and museums. I would warn that if you are on the first floor to be mindful that there may be a window (though frosted) beside the toilet. For some this may be a non-issue, but at night, I would turn off the light to use the toilet because I was a little bit wary about people on the street seeing a figure on the toilet. Though, I never went to street level to see how visible it was."

"Absolutely loved this hotel. It was convenient, spacious, and beautiful. From the art decorated stairs to games to play, it is a hotel for everyone. Staff was friendly and helped get me into my room extremely early as I was just expecting to be able to drop off my bags. Conveniently located right across the street from the T2 train that can take you to the airport or center of the city and trains to other parts of Italy. The rooftop bar can be accessed by the public who can go up by the art decorated stairs. However if that becomes too crowded, hotel guest can still enjoy the scenery and music by the pool that is located on the rooftop. Buy food and drinks from the mini vendors, then sit poolside to enjoy the music and lights of Florence. When I return to Italy, one of their locations will my 1st choice to stay."

"Beautiful, quiet surrounds. Walking distance to all major landmarks in Florence. Very friendly and helpful staff. No restaurant on site but breakfast is lovely and Giovanni has wonderful recommendations for where to eat. I didn’t have them but I’m told the cocktails are delicious. Didn’t use the pool which is small but would be a nice place to e to cool off after a day of touring"

Hotel Calimala Florence

"Great location in the heart of Florence, close to all the main attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The breakfast was very good and the hotel overall was stylish and comfortable. The room had a particular smell, possibly from the older building materials or the age of the property. The hotel was not flexible with early check-in or late check-out, but the staff was professional and courteous overall"
