Moxy Birmingham NEC and Airport

"Stayed here at the Moxy Hotel again, for an event in the NEC. Location for the NEC is excellent, quite literally across the street. Also very close to Resort World and the other attractions on the NEC site. Room was comfortable, bed was great too. My only complaint, such as it was, is the food / drinks within the hotel - quite overpriced and of below average quality. We didn't have the time / option this stay to dine out, so just ate evening meal in the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay too."

"While in some respects some might consider the rooms a little “tired”, there is a great feel in this hotel. The room and rooms are clean and have a great atmosphere. The bar, restaurant and breakfast room all have their own individual characters and while not perhaps in a modern style, I personally loved and will be happy to return in the future. I particularly liked the quality and range of the restaurant menu but there is also a separate bar menu."

"We had a superior room in the Manor House. It was really big, comfortable and clean with excellent countryside views. Site has plenty of free parking. Breakfast both mornings was good. And evening meals were tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Spa was great. Only negative was the bar closed at 10.15pm on Saturday night - the young lady did give us a last orders warning, but it's not what you expect."

"I want to give a huge shout out to the Front Desk staff member - Ali. We had some issues with our check in and it was just me and my 2 small Kids travelling. It was 2am after a long delayed flight. He understood the situation and quickly got us a room. He was the best. This man needs a raise or promotion or whatever."

"The hotel in general is lovely, although there were several neglected points to do with cleanliness, outside the lift was a squashed chocolate that remained there for over a day, the same with an empty glass outside our room that was therefore even longer. . . The breakfast is definitely worth it, but te bar food is poor quality in comparison and heavily over priced for what it is. . Thr Korean style noodles were drowned in pepper, so if there was supposed to be flavour, it was lost. The hotel staff are always friendly and helpful"

Genting Hotel & Spa at Resorts World Birmingham

"Hotel quickly changed the room into a twin from a double upon request when we arrived. Hotel is located within a small shopping mall with some lovely shops, also a good choice of restaurants, a bowling alley and escape room. The hotel has a lovely restaurant where breakfast is served - up on the 5th floor with great views & is a nice bar at night. The bar filled up our water cups with ice and tap water no problem. We booked a Superior Room which included parking in the underground car park which couldn't have been more convenient & also included the contents of the mini bar which was refreshed each day - fab! The overall location would be super convenient for the NEC, but we were there to go shopping in Birmingham Bull Ring which was approx 30 min drive and also Bicester Village which was approx 1 hour drive. The Spa / pool is lovely with atmospheric lighting a sauna and steam room, plus heated beds and an outdoor jacuzzi on a balcony with view outside which was fab too. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay again!"
