"Fantastic property with everything you'd need, or thought you didn't need.... great hosts who were eager to make sure we'd settled in and had everything we needed or any help with suggestions for sight seeing (although great information book supplied). We were new to the area but found the location perfect as a base for exploring near and far. over a few days..plenty to do on your doorstep with shops and eateries with-in Melrose if you don't fancy cooking. "Old fashioned stone built cottage. Central heating excellent plus a wood fire. Could do with some sprucing up paint wise. Excellent selection of books, videos, cds and jigsaws. 7 miles from nearest supermarket. Beautiful country views. If you are an animal lover this is for you - chickens, goats, horses, and a loch with plenty of waterfowl."

"Lovely cottage ,everything you could want ,beds so comfy and all so clean (thanks to Julie ) she was so nice and very pleasant, nice just to sit and relax and watch the wildlife,deer , red squirrels,hares and plenty of pheasants , only drawback is the need of updating the tv as was very old and not very good as your are looking forward to cosying up in front of fire and watching a good movie after been out exploring all day ,but lovely place to relax"

The area was lovely and peaceful and there was a lot of wildlife. .The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was lovely and warm.
