Southern Charm & Hospitality

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The House is beautiful and filled with memorabilia of great artists from the jazz and blues fields. The area is very quiet and picturesque. I look forward to my next trip up to the Chester, SC area. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast!

This is a very unique B&B and Dave and Elizabeth do everything and more to make your stay enjoyable. The inn is beautiful and breakfast was wonderful. What a unique experience, and such a refreshing change from the standard hotel experience! They do it from the heart.

The host was extremely warm and knowledgeable about blues history .they served homecook breakfast with heart efforts. Room was verywell decorated and furnished in southern plantation style...everything just beyond our expectations..what a beautiful memories .we sure will be back again!

The Inn was wonderful and so were our kind and welcoming hosts, Elizabeth and Dave. The Inn is filled with fascinating memorabilia associated with important historic figures in the worlds of music and sports. But, Elizabeth and Dave have their own interesting stories to tell, and we were readily engaged by them. Finally, as if we couldn't possibly enjoy our stay any more, Elizabeth prepared a fabulous breakfast at which their friend, pianist Patrick Hudson, played from his vast repertoire of music. It was a stroke of luck we ventured off Rt 77 to stay at the charming Inn in the quiet town of Chester, South Carolina. If you're anywhere near Chester and need a respite from the road or life in general, it's a great place to stay

Inn on Half Moon Plantation is a 5 star bed & breakfast. Quiet, beautiful home that has a blues music 🎶 history beyond imagination. Love this place. I stayed in the Memphis room which features Elvis and B.B. King.

Come for the Room, Stay for the Experience

I had an amazing experience at the Inn Upon Moon River. From the moment my brother-in-law and I walked in we felt welcome. The innkeeper (Elizabeth), made us feel right at home with the level of service we received. From serving us dinner to showing us to our room, and everything in between, we were impressed at every turn. She even went so far as to find out when we needed to eat breakfast the next morning before we departed, and made sure to have it ready at that time! I highly recommend this inn to any traveler who wants a quieter stay with good company and a personal touch that you rarely find at the major hotel chains.

A wonderful cultural surprise

My husband and i were there from 12/16 thru 12/18 /2021 to celebrate the life of my cousin. Elizabeth and David were the ultimate hosts! They have done a great job restoring that cultural home to an excellent B&B! There were zero cleanliness issues and the rooms are all decorated differently but equally as elegant. Every room is full of cultural paintings and pictures of culturely important figures. It also reminded me of New Orleans. Thank you so much Elizabeth and David for the wonderful conversation! We will definitely be back! Hopefully sooner rather than later. Again thank you so much!
