"My husband and I had a fabulous stay at Baxter Manor. We were in town for a volleyball tournament and felt lucky to find a place so close to the venue. This was our first time staying at a bed-and-breakfast, and it set the bar high! We stayed in the charming rustic cabin in the backyard, which was cozy and full of character. We also got a peek at the bedrooms and bathroom inside the main house, and they were lovely too. Our host, Jim, was very personable and we enjoyed chatting with him and the other guests. He was incredibly accommodating and took the time to make every guest feel welcomed and comfortable. Since several couples were coming and going, he thoughtfully helped coordinate bathroom use so everything ran smoothly. In the morning, he made fresh cappuccino (my hubby really wanted to try one) and had orange juice ready for us. He also shared the history of the home and the surrounding area, which we loved learning about. The other guests were wonderful as well, which made the whole atmosphere friendly and relaxed. We'd happily come back anytime we're in the area. Highly recommend, especially for anyone visiting for an event nearby!"

"The cabin and surrounding property was exactly what I expected from the listing. Nice and secluded, plenty of room for the dog to explore. The instructions from the host were very clear and easy to follow. I loved the pleasant waterfall within earshot of the cabin and the shaded back patio area. It was an excellent weekend retreat for the two of us. They even had bows and arrows and a target for some idle fun doing archery. We hiked a bit on the surrounding mountains and mostly just relaxed in and around the cabin. Perfect time of year for it--not too hot or too cold."

"It was a little confusing where we were suppose to be. You're not actually renting the red and white house in the picture (though that is very helpful for finding the right place). You are actually renting the space above the brown garage further back on the property. We had trouble getting into the building (which is part of the confusion of where we were suppose to be) but the hosts were very responsive when we reached out to them. They were very kind and helpful. We were able to get settled and have a good night. It's a very cute, quaint, upstairs apartment and worked well for what we needed."
