"Perfect place for me to work. Lots of space for one person (or 2). Cozy Aga. Atmospheric large gardens. Excellent and delightful on site manager. This is old fashioned and hasn’t been decorated for a while. But a well equipped kitchen set up. Excellent large kitchen table and endless possibilities to cook on the Aga. Note a modern oven, hob and microwave were there too. Friendly village. Two pubs. Long deepest Devon walks. Quite a way on little roads to get anywhere. I was there five weeks and...

The hosts were so helpful and answered my call when I couldn't find the key to get in (completely my fault ) and contacted me really quickly. "Our group was myself and my sister with our husbands. Perfect to have 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, with a large table and comfortable couch. The kitchen is amply supplied, everything was clean, well explained, and enjoyable. You can't beat the location and the view. We even had gorgeous weather and some lovely strolls around town. Only downsides are taking luggage up the narrow staircase and having to park off property, but those are not bad tradeoffs and can't be helped. We really enjoyed our stay...

"Overall we enjoyed our stay but there was a few things that took the edge off a perfect break. The shower in the en-suite bedroom leaked through the kitchen ceiling so we couldn’t use it which meant that nine of us had to use the one other shower! The French door/window in the lounge was difficult to open & close and the rain came in at the bottom right side and the carpet got wet and we couldn’t open the bi fold doors in the dining area. The cutlery wasn’t very clean so we had to wash it all...
