Antebellum home

Updated 5th generation Family home. Shotgun style Living and Kitchen area with nook and kitchen island. 2 bedrooms, 3 beds, (2 queens, 1 twin), and 1 full bath.
We started the restoration a few years ago and these are a few details of what we have accomplished.
The plumbing was replaced starting at the meter, valves, and fixtures. The water pressure is great.
New circuit breaker panel, lights, switches, and plugs. Ground fault outside and bathroom plugs. Security lighting with yard light.
An aerobic sewerage system was installed.
Two bedrooms new walls, ceiling, floors, and windows. The bathroom has original restored walls and ceiling. New floors bath, hallway, kitchen, and dining area. New ceiling fan in the living area.
Located on the Mardi Gras Parade route for Krewe of Tee Caillou. It's a local parade that parades before Mardi Gras. Less than 5 miles away Montegut has a Sunday and Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras Parade.

Tony's property is beautifully set up, cozy, welcoming, and with lots of lovely small touches and amenities. We felt very welcomed and had a comfortable visit. The location (across the road from the bayou, and just down from the Piggly Wiggly) was perfect!

Clean, well stocked, excellent host, close to fishing, comfortable. We will stay here again. Stayed here when it was really cold. House had plenty of heaters and Tony ensured we stayed warm. No issues with heating as a previous review mentioned.

A couple buddies and I kayak fished PAC and Grand Isle. This home was perfect for us. Plenty of space in the rear of the home for our SUV and trailer. Looking forward to staying here again! Landed three 40 inch redfish and a blacktip shark in Grande Isle and a couple monster blank drums at PAC. Gotta love LA!

We drove down to do some kayak fishing. The house is only 15-20 minutes from several fishing destinations. The property was very clean. The bed was great. Tony was in contact with us before we arrived and throughout the weekend. He sent us recommendations on where to eat and seemed genuinely concerned about the quality of our experience.

Son who lives about a mile down the road got married in his yard. Very convenient for us as it was so close. I helped cook meals for the family that was in attendance. The kitchen is well stocked with all the kitchen items needed for cooking. The piggly wiggly grocery store is very close for needed food items.
