The common room sleeping arrangement plus three private bedrooms worked well for us, and the close location to Louisiana Tech was convenient. "We had a high school bass tournament at Jimmie Davis State Park. But as usual, all the cabins at JDSP were booked. This gem of a place, PawPaw’s Place, was better than imagined. We were a family of four sharing with another family of three and it worked out perfectly. It was close to the tournament and places to eat. The owner, Dawn Scott, gave us all of the information before the trip, and then again the day we were traveling. She gave things to do, places to go and eat and everything you need...

"On the upside - great location; loved the covered boat stall and dock; beds were comfortable; plenty of parking for boat trailer; A/C works! Plenty of towels & cookware. On the downside - the frig was full of food that had been left from previous visitors - like long ago visitors. We thru out everything that had stuff growing on it. The shower head was not adjustable so a bit uncomfortable. This was our second time going and we will definitely go back."

"The townhouse was as described. Everything was clean and functioning well. The full size washer and dryer were great. The kitchen was well stocked, the only thing I didn't find was a cutting board but may have been my poor looking skills :) The beds were comfortable with quality bedding. "This is year two of renting this property for the NFA Softball nationals. We rented this property for our coaches and the host and location are perfect for if you are attending the Ruston Sports complex events. I will be renting again in 2023."

"Beautiful home. We travel the country for softball & this is one of the cleanest homes we have ever stayed in. Home was large enough for everyone to spread out. All beds are brand new & very comfortable. Kitchen & both baths fully stocked. The most stocked home we have ever stayed in. Home is close to Grambling State. We were in town for a softball tournament at Ruston Sportsplex which is only 10 min away."
