"Would highly recommend. Rustic room with extra sitting room, private balcony overlooking the river and palace of the Popes. Enjoyed walking around the old village, just down the hill from Maison Orisini. Host was wonderful providing maps and a tasty breakfast. We stayed 4 nights. No.5 Bus close by into main town of Avignon or 35mins walk."

La Banasterie was beautiful, clean, comfortable, safe and literally steps away from the major sites in Avignon. "I loved the location, right across the street from the old city. There was a grocery store next door, very convenient. The property seems to be student residences as well as hotel and has laundry facilities, safe bicycle storage, recycling, an exercise room and breakfast for an extra fee, which we didn't do. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was fine, the shower was great, the room was very spacious, but with a characterless, unadorned feel. Still, over all, good value. "
