"We are just back from our four week stay at PERROT. The property is simply beautiful. Our Gite was our home base as we explored this beautiful area, This is a perfect location for day trips to all of the beautiful villages in the area. You can reach all of the towns in an hour or less. The gite was the perfect place to come ‘home’ after a day of exploring. A beautiful three bedroom home, beautifully stylized, and complete with every essential. The washer/dryer means you can pack comfortably light for your trip. The pool and beautiful grounds are an added bonus. Bettina and Christopher were gracious hosts. Their knowledge of the area was so valuable as they were able to recommend the best restaurants and markets in the area. They were always available for any questions or needs we had. The ‘gite’ is completely private with its own yard, patio with table and chairs and umbrella, and lounging chairs for some quiet time in the backyard. I can’t thank Bettina and Christopher enough for the opportunity to enjoy our visit to The Dordogne in such a relaxing way."

"Spacious and peaceful property surrounded by fields and trees, but near to shops and with easy access to many of the wonderful sights and locations in the region. Warm and helpful hosts. Lovely swimming pool. Fantastic weather. Excellent quality fresh food available in local markets. Great holiday overall."

"Overall the property is adequate in a beautiful setting. I read all the reviews before booking and as many had already pointed out, you really do need to bring bedding and towels. As we'd flown and travelled light with only hand luggage this meant a trip to a supermarket for sheets towels and pillows we were also expecting a washing machine but this doesn't exist either. However as we were only here for a week we made the most of this beautiful place and appreciated the surrounding area too Christine was helpful to an extent and like our french her English was minimal. A few tweaks and a small spend would improve the gite immensely. Providing sheets towels and pillows is basic thing certainly most people expect and the provision of larger coffee mugs would be welcome by most. If you are driving in your own car bring your home comforts with you and I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay!"

"My husband and I have just spent 11 nights here in the 1 bedroom gite. We were looking for a totally chilled, relaxing holiday and this place didn't dissapoint. Daniel and Iwona made us feel really welcome as soon as we arrived. We were shown around the gite and grounds and everything was explained to us. The location is absolutely beautiful, not too far away from places to visit, but just so peaceful and quiet. If we needed anything or had any questions Daniel was straight on it. We plan to return to France in the future and this is the place that we'll definately be staying at again! We would highly recommend it to anybody."

"Our Hosts were wonderful, great bonhomie, offering a superb breakfast and conversation. The double room, which is reached via its own outside door, was clean and comfortable, the bathroom a good size and the shower powerful and controllable across the full temperature range. The pool was clean and well maintained. The room had air conditioning, good wifi, but was decorated in a charming arts & craft style with plenty of object d'art and pictures rather than the bare walls of a hotel. Outside the room had its own little terrace with somewhere to sit and relax. I'd thoroughly recommend this to any couple who are looking for somewhere to stay that is not only well placed for exploring the area, but that will also form a memorable part of the visit in its own right."

"Our family had a fantastic stay with Brian and Helen. The property is beautiful, excellent standard and we quickly relaxed into our holiday. Lanquais is lovely and quiet and located well for day trips in the Dordogne. Brian and Helen are so welcoming and considerate, they booked dinner reservations, told us about local markets and provided towels for our canoe trip. Truly lovely people, five star accommodation and would highly recommend to anyone with or without children."
