"Despite our reservation having been confirmed, the person we contacted on the phone the day before arriving said that she had no trace of our reservation.... She said she was only doing AirB&B. She was full and said there no way she would accommodate us despite our reservation having been made nearly 3 months before. The person on the phone was unpleasant. I asked her to find a solution but she was extremely unhelpful. It seems to me that this hotel uses several partners to optimize their room...

"We spent nearly 3 weeks at this wonderful rustic Gite. The Gite itself was perfect for us as a couple and a great terrace with lots of areas to sit around and read and eat. The Pool area was fantastic and we enjoyed memorable days. The location was great for all the wonderful places to see in the Dordodgne. The hosts were very accomodating. "This comfortable, well-appointed apartment is within easy walking distance to the cathedral and the historic center of Perigueux. With bedrooms and bathrooms on opposite ends, it would work well for a family or two couples. The apartment is quiet and very secure. We appreciated having a private parking place and direct access to the small park next to the cathedral. The street market in front of the cathedral was a treat. Isabelle was charming and very helpful. We highly recommend this apartment...

"A delightful single storey gite hosted by Mike with father Roger closeby offering helpful advice. We shared the large garden with a French cockerel (Monsieur Macron) and his ageing companions (Brigitte and Monsieur Mitterand). Vergt affords a decent supermarket, hotel, and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and it provided a well situated base for trips throughout Dordogne."
