"What a superb little place, not so little as the dog and I had the house to ourselves. If you want something which is quiet, safe, typically French and within a 10 minute walk of a fab bistro in the village then this is for you. Host was superb, great communication and attention. Would highly recommend as a pit stop if driving from UK to Spain."
"The room in Fontevraud L'Ermitage was pleasant, it was clean and the beds were good. Perfect for 2 or 3 nights. The room was quite warm in August, there were fans but they made little difference. We also missed having a seat. We were with 4 people, so sometimes we had to wait for each other. Don’t go for the breakfast, the selection is very limited and we found it very disappointing for the price."

In addition you will be hosted by Christian, very kind and gently owner that will tell nice histories about the castle. "We were the only people in this chateau which was nice but kind of weird. They just reopened we were told. I liked my room; the mattress was very comfortable and the fabric on the walls was very elegant. It was a little tight with the queen bed but it was fine. The bathroom was fine apart from the 1/2 circle shower which I continuously banged into while showering. Other than that it was fine. The staff was very nice and helpful. Nothing around this place; in the middle of nowhere. "
