A large resort with plenty to do. Fantastic array of shops and restaurants. Easy access to all slopes if don't mind catching ski bus. All buses were easy to navigate and ran to exact time. Everyone we met was wonderfully helpful and polite.

I found what I was looking for: a trekking town with trekkers, trekking shops and La Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix. Fantastic surroundings, warm temperatures, easy access to public transports. Great atmosphere!

I went primarily to ski, there are many tourists there that go to get their pictures.Will be a bit of a culture shock compared to those used to US ski resorts. The facilities do not coddle you and it requires a bit of work and exploring

Came in mid June. The weather was rainy n windy at times making it impossible for us to visit Helbonner and other higher points. Town was quiet and walkable even in rain. Not overwhelming with tourists during our time. Many dinning options.

Definitely want to go up to L'Augille du Midi, Mer de Glase and do some hiking. Looks like great skiing and biking. We loved Le Petit Social for breakfast.

"Great spot for exploring the area and well placed for shops and food in the centre of Chamonix. We booked a room with a mountain view and were lucky enough to be on the Mont Blanc side of the hotel. Worth checking when you book/before you check in. The room itself was all great. No air conditioning, but we didn't need it as it's cooler in the mountains than elsewhere in July. The only thing missing from the room were tea and coffee making facilities."
"My holiday started off poorly as my baggage did not arrive with me. I received it 5 days later. The staff at Lyret were empathetic and so supportive in helping including taking receipt of my luggage when it arrived even after I had checked out. They were ever so kind and helpful. I am grateful."
"We stayed in room 306. There is a bus station right next to it, if you are staying in summer and crack windows for air (as there is no AC), it stays noisy till past midnight. There is a restaurant in the back (Le Privilege) they had loud live music till midnight. Overall we liked the hotel and stay again. "
