"We loved the hotel’s position right on the beach. The staff were very friendly. But could be better with just a few tweaks, like some chairs need cushions on. Less time waiting for orders to be taken and food did take a while sometimes. Rooms were good but being an older couple the stairs were an issue for us as there is no lift. We would stay again if we come back here to see our son as it was a nice break to recuperate after a long flight."

"1st night no hot water. Geyser didn’t work. Aircons don’t work. Cockroaches in room. No soaps, shampoo, etc. They don’t accept cards and only told me this when I wanted to settle my bill the night prior to check out. The owner insisted on me walking almost 2km to go withdraw cash at 9pm. Which was a major inconvenience. I will never stay there again. NEVER!!!"

"We wish to thank Kris & his wife for making our trip memorable. The accommodation was just perfect for us. It was away from the traffic and about 10 minutes away from the grocery store, restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed Kris' company. He had our breakfast ready rain or shine. Despite his busy schedule, he found time to talk to us and made us feel at home. Thank you Kris! "

"Gite des acacias is only 10min drive from the airport in a quiet area. There is no phone reception there, but Wifi is available. We took the diner option and were offered a traditional creole dinner. Given that the best area to go and have diner is Mahebourg, about 20min drive, it is better to go for the dinner at theirs. "Chez Jacques is a very relaxed, cozy place in a local neighbourhood away from the all-inclusive hotels. The surfspots of Tamarin Bay are at your doorstep. Manager Iwan is a genuine friendly guy and very helpful in giving advice about things to do, advice on where to surf, sorting out transport at affordable prices, etc, etc. Enjoyed my stay and without a doubt, would stay there again."

"Chambre petite, ne correspondant pas avec les photos sur le site, mauvaises odeurs quand on rentre dans la chambre, odeurs de canalisations de WC dans la salle de douche ; avons changé 3 fois de chambre durant notre séjour (5 nuits), fuites d'eau dans la 2ème chambre et problème d'évacuation d'eau dans la 3ème ! Il était vraiment temps que nous partions ! Des travaux urgents de rénovation nous semblent plus que nécessaire pour coller au standing et à l'accueil de cet endroit ! "

"We stayed comfortably in a two-room villa, close to our cousins, who stayed in a four-bedroom villa. The villa was well-equipped and had everything we needed. They also provided a free shuttle to the beach and shopping areas in Flic en Flac. The villa is pretty new and very clean. The staff are very friendly. Even the guests are very friendly. We had a fabulous time here for 4 days. "
