"My 5 adult kids have wonderful memories of Family Gardens on our trips to visit grandparents. My husband and I spent 2 nights this week there to check it out as our family will be attending a family Celebration of Life in Laredo in 2 weeks. It did not disappoint. The adults will enjoy it the memories and the beer and the grandbaby will love the pool and playground. Childhood memories of the indoor garden hot tub were “magical “, per our youngest daughter. Staff was helpful, room size more than adequate and cool. My only suggestions …..BRING BACK the HOTDOGS! And maybe a gluten free something (muffin) in the breakfast room. And more than one room for disabled/handicapped/elderly. Bathrooms could use bars for safety and they are very small."

"I had a pleasant stay for two nights. This hotel is in a very unique location which attracts me to it. The immediate shopping area is almost identical to what you would find in Mexico, and the plaza outside the front is attractive. The outdoor pools were the best part, especially with a drink at night - very relaxing! The room was well maintained and clean. Housekeeping did not attend my room and I was left a note stating that I had left the "Do Not Disturb" sign outside (wrong). It wasn't a big deal, however. This hotel is on the Rio Grande, but it is very safe as the Border Patrol is everywhere. I would not hesitate to stay here again."

"My hotel room smelled terrible and did not look like the pictures that were taken. Ac was leaking next to my bed so the carpet was leaking extremely wet and soaked. Almost all the outlets were out and could barely charge our stuff. Rooms were dark and barely had light within the room. Plus we were only given two big towels and two small towels, which isn’t enough towels to give anyone. Then the breakfast was horrible, didn’t feel like there was much thought to it. On top of that, parking spots are very limited/ small so that was very annoying."

"Room was mostly clean but very old and run down. Staff was helpful and kind and there was a free shuttle as long as you got it scheduled. The breakfast was free and there were a few different options but it was crowed and not the cleanest looking. Maybe earlier in the morning it would have been."
