"Extremely clean, excellent location blocks from the Rialto Market. Our host is rightly proud of the apartment (a family home) and it shows in the furnishings and supplies for the kitchen (we shopped in the market and cooked our meals as part of this trip, so that was an important feature).
Laura provided an informative guide with comprehensive lists and suggestions, but also pointed out some hidden gems and some of her favourite places, and those were excellent suggestions.

"Our family of five enjoyed our time at the property very much. The rooms were comfortable and the surrounding area is beautiful. The pool is a huge plus to cool down and have a relaxing time. The Rignano train station nearby makes it easy to get around Italy, by connecting to Florence’s main station. Truly an asset. The A1 highway is also nearby connecting you within easy access to beautiful Tuscany. Restaurants in the area were very good also. I would definitely stay again at Vila Il...

"Quaint and comfy! Perfect for medium groups who don’t mind sharing rooms. The host is very upfront about it being near the main road and traffic noise is certainly present. Would not recommend as a quiet place to work but it was perfect for our group attending a local conference as a place within walking distance with a kitchen. The host Monica is very friendly and brought us homemade pasta! "

"Très bel accueil et explications en arrivant, toute la famille nous a accueilli et a tout fait pour nous rendre service, la maison est grande et bien complète, la terrasse bien exposée et l’emplacement pour garer la voiture est un plus, je recommande fortement ! "

"When we started on our journey looking into the heritage of our grandparents we knew that most of the journey would be in very small communities. This property was no exception except for the fact that this property was second to none from start to finish. From the contact of the property owner to the day we left, they made us part of their family and went way above and beyond what, I am sure is expected of them. They begin by meeting at their gate. Once you are parked they then take you into...

"We recently spent a week at Villa Olmi and had the most incredible time. The hotel itself is beautiful, a peaceful oasis to escape the busy city. The grounds were kept beautifully and the pool area in particular felt so pristine, plenty of fresh towels, super clean and drinks/food delivered to your sun bed- a total dream!
Rooms were great with air con that kept them cool during the recent heatwave. Our room near the pool was the perfect location too, literally steps to our sun beds. The bathrooms could do with updating I feel, but they were fine and kept clean.
All staff at the hotel were so lovely, warm and welcoming. The reception team were always helpful with questions we had (for example needing a different adapter for our plugs!). The wait staff were also all very attentive and friendly. The housekeeping team also- working that job during hot weather must be tough but they were so smiley and kind.
Food at breakfast was great, such a good selection. The restaurant was also super tasty and a lovely setting to have dinner. One comment would be more of a varied menu, we were there for a week and the menu didn’t change so we did go elsewhere for variety.
The shuttle bus was very useful and a great addition to have as it’s too far to walk into Florence. However I think a later shuttle bus to allow staying out for dinner would have been great, also dropping closer to the city centre as the 20 min walk from the bus was hard in the heat.
Overall an excellent stay!"
"Gorgeous place, amazing views.
They overbooked dinner and we had a wait of 2 hours for our food to come out.
Pool was amazing and there was two to choose from, one looked quieter.
Main part of the building is 15th century, which was beautiful.
Easy to find with google maps NOT Apple Maps. Plenty of parking."
"What a wonderful 3 night break at Villa Casagrande! My wife and I had a beautiful stay in this historic villa. There’s a little steep walk up to the pool and restaurant next to it which were perfect and where we spent most of our time relaxing and sunbathing with the view of the trees and the Tuscan mountains. The staff were incredible, so kind, quick to help and made our stay even more pleasant. We both had lovely massages and relaxed in the spa area and one evening did the historic tour and wine tasting which was exceptional. The guides and sommeliers were so knowledgeable and so lovely and the organic Chianti wines they produce are an absolute must to taste and buy. The hotel’s main restaurant was the best in Filigne (the local town) and the food was incredible. One of the nights we had a live musician who was fantastic. We had dinner twice there; mushroom tagliatelle, the lamb, the wild boar gnocchi and paccheri carbonara were to die for! It’s only 50 mins on the train to Florence which is one of our favourite cities to explore in one day and we picked this place especially because it’s only a 12 minute walk from the Filigne Valdarno station and avoids the need to hire a car. We went for the comfort room which was spacious and clean and the air con was great and important for us it had a powerful shower. We truly had a wonderful time and absolutely cannot wait to go back next year! Grazie Villa Casagrande!"
"We stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon, and it was perfect! The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and specious and the AC was amazing for how hot it was! The property is very well maintained, the pool is lovely and we very much enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and dinner a few nights.
While we loved the quiet location, it is about a 15 minute drive to downtown Florence, so cabs back and forth can get expensive. Regardless, it was an absolutely wonderful stay and would recommend!"
"This place was absolutely amazing! We had the most peaceful time here and I would be lucky to return. The staff were so kind, the food was delicious and fresh, and the property was beyond beautiful. We loved the wine tour and learning about how all of the food is harvested on site. Feels like we found a piece of paradise, thank you for sharing your home with us!"
"Overall the hotel is nice. It's clean and modern. Rooms are comfortable but the shower is tiny, lol. Staff are helpful and friendly, but I primarily picked this hotel due to two things. It had a pool and it offered gluten free food in the restaurant.
The pool areas was nice, if small, but tricky to get sun all day as it's surrounded on all sides by the two stories of the hotel. It didn't seem to be used that much while we stayed so we were free to move the loungers around but this may not always be the case.
Gluten free was where I was disappointed the most. We arrived late on the first day and the restaurant was still open, but my GF partner's only option was a bit of beef and some roast potatoes. We gave it another go a couple of days later to see if having a relaxing day just at the hotel was an option, but again the selection was very limited, so we stayed later in town than we would usually have done.
Probably the biggest downfall is the hotel's location. It states it's only a few kilometers outside the centre of Florence but it takes 45 minutes each way due to the one way system and the current roadworks. The shuttle bus is free but it doesn't take you into the city centre but this was more of an issue for me as I have mobility issues.
Buses are hit an miss. They say they come every 20 minutes but this is wishful thinking. We waited an hour at the stop and then three number 23 buses pulled up one behind the other. Not the hotel's fault but just a heads up."
Yes, we give you a choice of vacation rentals close to popular local attractions in Cetica, or you can select a secluded option if you're looking for a relaxing stay.
Explore the area and family-friendly sights such as Poppi Zoo, or get out into nature at a spot like Foreste Casentinesi-Monte Falterona-Campigna National Park. In the larger area, you’ll find Croce del Pratomagno and Abbazia di Vallombrosa.
What are vacation rentals like in Cetica?
Vacation rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days or a quick weekend in Cetica. Vacation rentals feature extras such as hot tubs, fire pits, and patios so you'll have everything you need. If you're concerned about a sanitized environment, a vacation rental can offer a sense of seclusion away from shared hotel elevators and busy reception areas while still allowing you the experience of travel. You'll also find more space in a vacation rental than in a hotel, which makes a vacation rental a great option for a family trip.
