The instructions on how to get to the villa are a little misleading, we were advised to come off the A8 at junction 20,when in fact, if you come off the A8 at Junction 21 it is easier to find, perhaps a sign on the road just before the turn off would be good as it is not a named road, and just a dirt track that is easily missable. "Our group of 4 adults had a great stay at this property. While it was a tad tricky to find, Telma helped us through that and warmly greeted us at her charming property. After a quick tour and a few tips she left us with a fresh loaf of bread, some cheese, bottle of her local favorite wine and some pastries. The property was seemingly in the middle of nowhere with views over the local fields but in reality was only a few minutes from the autoroute making it a great base for exploring the area....

"Great vllage house with full amenities incl terrace and swimming pool, wonderful & warm host. Great value! Thanks Alexandra. The only 1 thing that bordered me staying there is that there are so many flies around and they get into the house easily. We had to constantly guard against them during meals."

"Quinta de Recião has numerous properties. This review is for the one-bedroom cottage (Casa do Moinho - the Mill House) The Mill House is a beautiful property, hosted by beautiful people. The main room has kitchen, table, lounge, small TV and a fire. The separate bedroom has two single beds with an adjoining bathroom. "Accueil chaleureux, charmant jardin et piscine comme sur les photos, mais il s’agit vraiment d’un logement en demi sous-sol, très humide et sommairement aménagé et peu pratique (la salle de bains n’est pas accessible directement, il faut passer par un couloir demi-extérieur avec un sol de béton brut). On sent de très gros efforts et une grande gentillesse de la part des hôtes, mais l’espace n’est pas très agréable et on entend le moindre mouvement des occupants du logement situé au-dessus....

"Wir hatten ein paar wunderschöne Tage in dieser voll ausgestatteten Villa. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Jeden Morgen wurde uns frisches Brot vorbei gebracht. "We found the house easily. We loved the location. Lamego was close by with grocery stores, shopping and some lovely cultural sights. We were able to get to other places we wanted to see (Braga, Regua, Viseu) easily also. The kitchen was nicely equipped. We love to cook on vacation and this kitchen had all we needed. "Situated within a two minute walk from the shrine of Fatima, this hotel is most conveniently placed, with a wonderful breakfast buffet. Room was spacious, bright and clean, beds maybe a little firmer than I would like, but this I find is normal in Europe. Black out drapes ensure a dark, quiet restful environment. Front staff is kind, courteous, and most helpful Lots of parking, there is an underground, which we used as we were there for a couple of nights, but beware the narrow drive in, we had a small SUV and the vehicle alarms were screaming at me on the way down. "
