On a non foggy day if you step outside you can see the sunrise in the trees across the street. (Only quirk was the air conditioner. "Typically a "cheaper" option than places on Moonstone Beach Drive, which is a main walking path & view spot in Cambria. Only a 5 minute drive. Rooms & Bathroom very clean & beds comfortable, with refrigerator and microwave. Older Motel, but suitable for us, unfortunately no elevator for people who need it. "Ground floor" rooms pets allowed, "Second Floor" rooms pets NOT allowed. Good option for both types of travelers. "

"We have stayed at El Castell hotel many times over the years. We have now been reserving the handicap room and believe me the single room has a wonderful walk in shower with a fold down bench. The handheld shower sprayer is very convenient. The double room has a tub and a pull down bench. "Enjoyed staying at this mint condition, quiet and comfortable property. Everything seemed brand new in the unit, clean and functioning well. Parking on site was convenient. And location was close to State Street downtown and attractions, but in a quiet neighbourhood with little traffic. No on-site office, so check in and any issues are handled remotely by te t/email. Definitely recommend this place for an economical stay. "

"The Caravan Outpost checked the box for our dream Airstream experience in one of the most quaint areas in California. They were communicative, accommodating, and the property was beautiful. The camper was pristine and in wonderful condition. The booking fees have increased a lot in Ojai through the years, but we were appreciative they offered one night stays. Highly recommend this experience for young families with kids looking for something everyone can enjoy!! "
