"We had a very pleasant stay at Southbank Hotel by Marriott. Overall, everything was great from check-in to check-out. The staff was welcoming and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, and the entire property felt well maintained. The location is convenient, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The only small suggestion would be that the towels could be a bit newer, but that didn’t take away from the experience. Everything else was excellent, and we would definitely stay here again. "Great location for Mayo visits, simple and functional condo with a few drawbacksMy husband and I stayed at this 1-bedroom condo in downtown Jacksonville while receiving care at the Mayo Clinic. Overall, it was a cost-effective and simple place to stay, and while we appreciated several thoughtful features, there were some important details future guests should be aware of — especially around parking, amenities, and building maintenance.Pros:- The condo itself is clean, functional, and uncluttered. The refrigerator and microwave were spotless, and everything in the unit worked as expected.- Double blackout curtains in the east-facing bedroom window were a thoughtful touch that helped with rest.- The furniture was in good shape, and we had no issues with comfort or layout.- Cost-effective for the location and perfect for a couple or even a small family (I believe there’s a sleeper sofa, though we didn’t use it).- The property manager was very responsive and courteous, which we appreciated during our stay.- Our interactions with long-term tenants in the building were pleasant — they were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to figuring out parking.Notes for Future Guests:Parking:- This was the most frustrating part of the stay.- The VRBO listing didn’t include any info about parking, which turned into a daily hassle.- There’s metered street parking, but the three meters we used didn't properly — tenants recommended downloading the app. The meters are .02"
